as you held the empty blood syringe in your hands, you cracked your brain for your next move. you knew that the two boys were waiting outside for you and if they saw the syringe, they would have jumped to conclusions faster than you could have ever imagined.

you came to the idea that it would be best for you to investigate by yourself. at least until you had solid evidence. besides, katsuki was right. any sort of uproar during this time of year would be risky. it would be best to let the pros handle it.

so, you sneakily tucked the item into your uniform and walked out of the bathroom.

"well?!" katsuki urged when he saw your figure near the front door.

you stepped outside and shook your head discouraged. "nothing."

katsuki narrowed his eyes, he didn't believe it. he attempted to scan your body language, but before he could get a clear read, izuku had stepped in to comfort you. "it's fine, y/n. maybe it really was just a student who was skipping."

"yeah, maybe..." you responded.

izuku led you back to the cafeteria. but for some reason, katsuki was lingering behind you. glancing back at katsuki who kept his eyes focused on the ground, you could tell that something was on his mind.
