The air was thick with tension as Min-woo and Soo-jin sprinted down the dimly lit dock, their hearts pounding in sync with their hurried footsteps. The distant sound of waves crashing against the hull of the ship faded into the background, replaced by the rapid thud of their hearts.

"Where do we go?" Soo-jin gasped, glancing over her shoulder, her expression a mix of fear and determination.

"Get to the patrol car!" Min-woo shouted, urging her forward. "We need to alert the others and get out of here!"

They raced toward the parking lot, adrenaline surging through their veins, but as they rounded the corner, they skidded to a halt. A black van was parked at the entrance, its engine running, headlights cutting through the night like piercing eyes.

"Damn it!" Min-woo cursed under his breath. "We're trapped!"

Before they could find another route, the side door of the van swung open, and two figures stepped out, their faces obscured by the shadows and the glare of the headlights. "You shouldn't have come here!" one of them shouted, advancing toward them with a menacing stride.

"Back off!" Min-woo yelled, instinctively stepping in front of Soo-jin, his body tense and ready for a fight. "What do you want?"

"Just a little chat," the other figure sneered, cracking his knuckles. "About your friend, Jae-hyun. He was getting too close to something he shouldn't have."

Min-woo felt a surge of anger and fear. "What do you know about Jae-hyun?" he demanded, his voice steadier than he felt.

"More than you do, Captain," the first man replied with a chilling smile. "And that makes you a liability."

Without warning, both men lunged forward. Min-woo and Soo-jin darted to the side, narrowly avoiding their grasp. The first attacker stumbled, and in that moment, Min-woo instinctively swung a fist, connecting with the man's jaw. The impact sent him reeling, but the second assailant was quick, grabbing Min-woo by the collar and slamming him against the side of the van.

"Stop!" Soo-jin shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos. She reached for her phone, but one of the attackers knocked it from her hand, sending it skittering across the pavement.

"Fight all you want, but it won't help you!" the second man growled, leaning closer to Min-woo, his breath hot and foul. "You're in over your head."

Just as Min-woo felt his strength waning, a blaring horn echoed through the night, startling everyone. A patrol car came screeching around the corner, lights flashing and sirens wailing. The two men exchanged panicked glances, and in a split second, they released Min-woo and sprinted toward the van.

"Get in!" Min-woo shouted to Soo-jin, his heart racing. They dashed toward the car just as the two men climbed inside the van. The driver slammed the door and floored the accelerator, kicking up gravel as the vehicle sped away.

"Are you okay?" Min-woo asked, breathless, as he climbed into the patrol car.

"Yeah," Soo-jin replied, her face pale but determined. "We need to follow them!"

Min-woo nodded, his instincts kicking in as he turned on the ignition and spun the wheel. The patrol car tore after the fleeing van, the sirens cutting through the night.

The van sped down a narrow, winding road, flanked by trees that seemed to close in around them. Min-woo gripped the wheel tightly, his mind racing. "Who were those guys?" he muttered, frustration bubbling inside him.

"I don't know," Soo-jin replied, scanning the area. "But they knew about Jae-hyun. They're involved in something dangerous."

"Let's see where they're headed," Min-woo said, determination filling his voice.
