When I woke up veterinary hospital with Marcel next to me. I yawned.
"Maman?"
I slapped my paw onto my mouth.
Marcel gasped.
I gasped.
I went on like that for a while.
I carefully lifted my paw from my mouth.
"Hello?"
I slapped it back on.
"How, wha, how??" Marcel asked, looking puzzled as ever.
"I don't know?" I said.
He sighed.
"At least you are ok."
I blinked suprisedly.
"You care about me after all I had done to you??"
"You had never made me bleed. I went too far."
He looked away.
For once in my life, I felt bad.
"Thanks."
Marcel turned back.
"You're thanking me?"
"Well, yeah. You saved my life. No amount of figs or francs could ever pay that. Dog is a man's best friend. But I have just one request."
"Yes?"
"I want you to-Oh my biscuits!" I shrieked.
I pointed my little paw at a fig, sitting at my side table, with the same wrapper as the magic figs.
"Ok, request changed. If you turn me back into a human, I promise I will never hurt you again."
"Request granted." Marcel said, grabbing the fig from the table.
That night, we went home. He studied from my hypnosis books, and then it was go time. I munched on the fig, and we went to bed.
It was the next morning, and I when I woke up, I was a grown man sleeping on the floor, and Marcel was a little dog sleeping on the bed.
