Disclaimer/Author's note: This book is a work of fiction, born entirely from my imagination. The characters and events depicted are not intended to represent real people or events. If any character engages in morally or ethically questionable behavior, it is not meant to be romanticized or condoned in any way.
The narrative focuses more on how the main character of my previous book has developed. The story is delving into complex and darker themes. Reader discretion is advised. If you find any content troubling or problematic, I encourage you to stop reading.

Important note please read this carefully:
Thank you so much for picking up this book. I'm excited to have you join me on this journey, whether you've been with me from the beginning or are just starting out.
Every villain has a story, a time when they were just like any other person, full of kindness and hope. They weren't always dark and distant; something happened along the way that changed them. This is true for Jungkook too.
He may seem like the bad guy now, but behind that tough exterior lies a past filled with pain, struggles, and moments that shaped him into the person he is today. This story explores those moments, the reasons behind his actions, and how he became the way he is.
If you haven't read *In Another's Shoe* or *In Another's Skin* before, don't worry! You can start with this book and still follow along with the story. I've written it in a way that will make sense on its own, so you won't feel lost or confused. You'll get to know the characters and understand their journey as the story unfolds.
But if you've read the previous books, this story will take you even deeper. It will give you a closer look at Jungkook's past, his feelings, and the experiences that shaped his personality. It's a chance to see the layers beneath his rough exterior, to understand why he is the way he is.
I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. And I hope, by the end, you'll see that sometimes, even the ones who seem the most unlovable have a story that deserves to be heard. Happy reading!

3 June, 1821.The wind howled outside like a wild beast, thrashing against the stone walls of my mansion house. The shutters clattered, windows rattled in their frames. I paced the length of my room, my steps echoing on the empty stone path, the only sound inside this desolate space apart from the relentless storm outside.
The air smelled of salt and damp, a sign that the cyclone was drawing closer. Everyone in the house had long gone to bed, blissfully unaware, or perhaps merely pretending to be, as if sleep could shield them from the fury that approached.
In my hand, I held a glass of wine, the deep crimson liquid swaying gently with each step. My head throbbed as if the storm outside had seeped into my skull, beating against the inside of my mind.
I paused by the window, catching sight of the trees bowing under the fierce winds, their branches flailing like desperate arms. I took a long sip from my glass, hoping the wine might dull the ache and drown out the chaos. I don't understand why I was drinking.
