Mr. and Ms. Noceda care to elaborate as to why you are down here today." asked the principal in a hard, stern voice.
Luz speaks before me, telling the story while holding a mini figure of Azura and I hold a green snake and pretend that the snake and Azura are fighting.
"And that's the end," I say petting the snake.
"end of what," our mom says looking at the both of us
"Our book report," Luz says as she uses the figurine to attack the snake.
"Honestly, I think we blew this one out of the park," I said feeling good about myself.
The book report is the reason you both are here" the principal said sternly "Look out there" he pointed as two students ran by with snakes attached to them
"That's where the backups went," I say
why would you need backups" our mom said "And what's this for" She pulls out a huge firework with smaller fireworks strapped to the side.
"the act three closer," Luz said as we both look down
"kids I love your creativity but do you remember the last three times you were in here" Mom asks as we remember the things that got us sent here the last three times.
Yes, mama" we say in unison.
"what Camilla said is true if you guys can't separate fantasy from reality you two might have to spend the summer here." the principal says as he hands down brochures for the both of us.
I grimace at the sight of the boy cramped in a box, "that does not look comfortable." the boy in the picture smiling with a thumbs up gives me the creeps.
"From this day forward I promise no more weirdness" Luz exclaims, as the snake leaps from my hand and attacks Principal Hal. With a nervous expression, she says "That doesn't count right. hehe"

Man, this sucks" I say. It's the next day. Luz and I are waiting for the bus to come to pick us up and take us to reality check camp. "and now my head is hurting again. Mama do you have any advil I could take."
(Y/n) these headaches are becoming more frequent are you feeling ok." she asks while handing me two pills.
I grab them out of her hand "I'm fine" I say and take the pills
don't worry you two. It'll only be for three months. You'll have fun balancing checkbooks and appreciate public radio time will just fly by" she said as she hugged us
"But I don't like that stuff i like editing anime clips to music. I love drawing and reading fantasy books with compelling backstories with (Y/n)." Luz says holding her favorite book the good witch Azura.
"And I love listening to her read as I train," I say trying to help Luz's case.
"Oh, you two I know you don't want to go but your fantasy worlds are holding you back. (Y/n) you know you've been on and off with that, but do you have any friends besides each other." our mom said. Luz pondering looking down at her feet starts walking over to the trash can. Our mom continues "Summer camp is a chance to make friends, but you have to try. Both of you promise to me that you will try. Can you do that for me?
I watch as Luz sadly puts her book into the trash while nodding.
"(Y/n) try and stay out of trouble. I don't want you fighting anyone again, but make sure Luz stays safe. Don't let her run off or anything." she says looking me in the eyes.
