*Ellie P.O.V*

I huddle up into the couch and place a warm, fuzzy blanket over my legs. It drapes onto the floor and I lean my head onto the sofa's pillow. Pulling out my phone to keep me company on this lazy Sunday. Instagram and Tumblr were there to entertain me.

I scroll through my news feed and halfway through I see a picture Michael had just posted of his cat Simon. He had white long fur and dark fur near his eyes. His sparkling blue eyes stood out the most in this picture, as well as the electric blue blanket placed over him. He was lying in Michael's bed and had his paws up to his chest.

He looked so adorable. For some reason, this gave me an urge to scroll through his photos and see what he had been doing.

The first five photos on his page were of his cat and they all were shot in the same light and in the exact same place. Before these were selfies of him lying on a beach. His top half was fully exposed and you could see the top of his bathing suit. His tanned abs sparkled in the photo... maybe he just came out of the water. His eyes were closed and he was doing a peace sign. The thing that caught my eyes the most was the towel that was lying beside his. It was pink with yellow flower shaped patterns. Don't get caught up on this Ellie. He is your ex. He has dated other girls.. remember?

My eyes slowly started to become heavy but all I wanted to do was stalk Michael. I forced my eyes open and scrolled through the rest of his photos. The more I scrolled, earlier pictures showed up. I stopped upon a photo of Michael and I. The caption was 'Staying together xx' and there was an emoticon of the heart eyes guy. I was wearing a black halter neck with a small golden chain and he was wearing a nice denim blue button up shirt. We were sitting at a restaurant (which I am guessing is Peroni's) and he was smiling. We looked so happy together...

Closing Instagram, I opened up my photos and scrolled up to the album I kept of all the photos of Michael and I. There were around 50, and I looked at each one closely making sure I don't miss any details. Tears started to spill down my face when I came across a picture which I took at a lake we visited every now and again. We were both lying down onto a red and white checkered mat with sandwiches placed near us and bottles of water lying on the grass next to us. His right arm was around my waist and he was leaning over kissing me on the lips. Flashbacks of that afternoon flooded my mind and began to make me cry harder.

"Michael! How long left?! I can't do this anymore! I am so tired and it is so early" I groan dodging branches and trees whilst maintaining my speed to keep up with my boyfriend.

"El! Just shut up! We are almost there" he says annoyingly. I roll my eyes and follow him up steeper through the forest.

"I thought this was going to be a fun-" I stop in my tracks and look up to see the scenery. It was something out of a painting. The crystal blue water lined the end of the cliff and the long green grass contrasted the whole scenery. There was a single oak tree growing near the end of the cliff.

"It's so beautiful babe, Thank you so much! How did you find this place?" Michael doesn't reply but instead placed down the picnic basket and leans back on his elbows absorbing the sight. I take a seat next to him and place my head on his shoulder.

A few minutes later, he begins to speak "I use to come here nearly every Friday night after my father died. It was the only place I could recollect my thoughts. No one knows about this place... except for you now" he turns to me and doesn't take his eyes off my lips. I lean in and peck his lips, thanking him for telling me that story and also bringing me here.

I take out a bottle of water from the basket and take a sip. He leans over me and grabs a ham and cheese sandwich. He bites into it and smiles

"El...I love you". I spit out my water all over myself and turn to him wide-eyed. "What?!" I sound stunned, tightening the water cap back on the bottle and placing it back on the grass. "You heard me, I love you. We have been dating for three months now and I can't think of anyone else I would rather-" he stops mid-sentence when he crashes his lips onto mine. His hand is gently placed on my neck and he passionately kisses me. Time stops and I try to lean out of the kiss to get some air.

"I love you to Michael" I smile and take out my phone. We both lie down next to each other and take a selfie. I change it to my background image on my phone. I lock the phone and place it beside me.

"Today has been perfect...Thank you" he leans over again and falls asleep beside me with his head nuzzles in my neck. The sweet smell of his shampoo and the comfort makes me feel tired, so I follow along and close my eyes. It was the best sleep I had in a long time.
