The other three were in Yaomomo's room, giving each other a spa night. Kirishima was getting his nails painted by both of them.

"You know you guys are just asking for me to judge who is the better painter, right??"
"We know." Uraraka answered.

"Have you ever had your nails done, Kirishima??" Yaoyorozu stated.

"Not really. I mean, I try to keep them healthy but if someone sees a man with painted nails, more often than not they'll assume they're gay."

"Well I think that's stupid." Kirishima felt that he could trust the two girls, so he thought he could hint it to them.

"It is, but it's sometimes accurate." There was a bit of silence as the two looked at each other, wondering how to handle the situation.

"Is it accurate??" Yaoyorozu asked. They looked at him, and he had his eyes shut.

"Maybe." He looked at them, and they both had smiles. "Sorry."

"Don't apologize, the salon is where your secrets are shared."

"Is that a thing??"
"Yes indeed. Salon workers know all the tea."

"And how do I know you won't go and tell your boyfriends??"

"Have a little faith in us, Kirishima."

"Lips are sealed."

"Well then, there's something that's been bothering me...and I don't know who to go to."

"Well you've come to the right place, darling."

"What's on your mind, sir??" They all chuckled at the girls' impersonation of nail salon artists.

"Well, there's a guy...and I really like him...but I don't know if he likes me back."

"Do we know that he's also some form of gay??" Yaomomo asked.

"N-no."

"Has he ever discussed girls with you before?"

"No, but not guys either."

"Hm, it's hard to say. He's a tough nut to crack."

"But you kind of already have, haven't you??"

"I guess, but we've never had conversations about...that. In fact he actively avoids it. Tells me that it's a stupid thing to talk about."

"He might be avoiding it because he likes you."

"I don't know about that. I don't think I'm anything special to him."

"Does he spend time with you more than other people??" Uraraka asked.

"Yes, but that's not hard because he doesn't willingly hang out with people."

"Does he with you??" Yaomomo asked.

"Sometimes. I'm mostly the initiator and he never really...seems excited to spend time with me."

"Could he just not show his emotions that way??"

"I don't know, maybe."

"Have you considered that maybe he doesn't handle his emotions properly and may need love to help him accept his own feelings?? I know the type from experience." Yaomomo chuckled a bit, thinking of her boyfriend who used to be stone cold.

"I mean, he's very...emotional...just only...angrly. But sometimes...he's calmer, more reserved but not looking for the attention of anything. In those times, he's patient and I think he does care, he's just...bad at showing it."

"Sounds like a catch. An emotionally complicated one, but still a catch." Kirishima chuckled.

"Yeah, I know how to pick them." They all laugh.

"Kirishima." He looks at Yaomomo. "I know it's hard to tell, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that he likes you."

"Really??"

"Of course. You seem to be the one closest to him besides Midoriya and Todoroki."

"Yeah well, even if that was true, we would never be able to be together."

"What's stopping you??"

"The world. There are, like, no gay heroes and I wouldn't want to hurt either of our careers with that."

"But if you did get together, wouldn't that mean you're willing to suffer those consequences together??"

"I guess."

"Maybe...the right person is worth that." Kirishima took a breath. The RIGHT person implies they're your person, and he's not so sure that's the case.

"I don't think we're soulmates or anything. That's delusional."

"I don't think it is. I think until you know for sure, anything is possible."

"Yeah bu-"

"And I mean, you do seem to be a special case for him."

"I guess but what if-"

"Kirishima." Uraraka stops him. "How long have you had feelings for him??"

"Since first year."

"Then don't you think it's time you find out what you are??"

"What if it ruins everything?? He's one of my best friends."

"But this is your last chance to possibly have the man you want." He sits there. They're right. He will never know if he doesn't try, but he doesn't want to do anything stupid.

"Do you think if I asked him to prom...he'd say yes??"

"I truly don't know. He would hate being the talk of the school."

"So would I."

"Don't put pressure on yourself to ask him to prom, that might be too much for both of you. But in these last couple months, maybe spend some more time with him, just hanging out, and then when the time is right, you can talk to him about how you feel."

"I don't know."

"I know it's a risk, but if you don't, you'll forever be consumed by what ifs." Kirishima thought about it. He may not know when the right time is, but this not knowing has been killing him. He wants to know for sure he should move on, or if he should at all. Maybe there's a part of him that thinks he has a shot with him. But they're right, there's only one way to find out.

"Alright, we're done." He looks at his nails. He picked red, which matches his crush's eyes.

"I think Uraraka did better."

"Damn it."

"Yes!!" They laughed and continued their sleepover, becoming their own little group of three.
