In the hushed corridors of the Survey Corps headquarters, the sound of boots echoed softly against the stones. Hange with their wild brown hair tied haphazardly and a glint of excitement in their brown eyes, were skipping their way to the forest with Levi, Furlan and Isabel following behind them. They had enlisted the infamous trio's help to gather herbs. Though convincing Levi was harder than calming down a raged bull, he eventually came along as his other two companions showed interest, especially Furlan.

As they trekked through the hallway, Isabel tilted her head, a quizzical look crossing her face which she had been thinking all the way. She had been a little nervous about this excursion at first--nature was a cruel mistress, especially inside the walls.

"What exactly are you going to do with those little plants?" She asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Ah, good question!" The bespectacled latter began, her eyes widening.

"I'm collecting a bunch of them for medical issues--things like colds, sore throats, headaches, to stop bleeding, you name it! My medical unit is running short on supplies in the infirmary, so I thought I'd bring you cuties to help me gather what I can find! Plus," She added with a mischievous grin, "I won't get bored. It'll be fun!"

"Tch." Levi clicked his tongue and looked outside through the bricked windows. The expidition was in two days and they still could not find the document neither kill Erwin. Speaking of the devil, he spotted two figures at the intersection of hallways--the sniffing wierdo and the mute button.

Miche strode ahead, balancing a formidable stack of paperwork in his arms that seemed to be prepared meticulously. The blond locks of his bangs covered his eyes but Levi could sense him furrowing his eyebrows in concentration. Trailing slightly behind him was Abigail, juggling an assortment of maps and the familiar chalkboard. The papers looked vaguely old, with yellowed edges and creases that suggested they had been folded and refolded many times, their surface worn smooth in places, vibrant with landmarks and scribbles.

Despite having a tall stature, which would have been imposing in most social situations, Abigail looked rather tiny against Miche's towering height, his broad shoulders and chiseled features making her seem like a delicate flower in contrast. Levi glared at the male, recalling how he had smashed his head against the muddy water of Underground. The sensation of the dirty water dripping from his face still sent chills down his spine. There was an odd sense of satisfaction when he defeated him in the arm wrestling match and Levi swore if he had not composed himself, he would have smirked widely to mock the giant.

Meanwhile, as if coincidentally, Abigail's gaze drifted across the hallways, her attention was caught by the ex-criminals and Hange. The world around her felt stopped as her focus now solemnly fell on the dark haired male, watching him from the corner of her eyes, captivated by his enigmatic characteristics. She avert her gaze instantly, avoiding to make any eye contact.
