Healing Hearts

Part 10

It's been two months since Y/N was discharged from the hospital, and everything has been going well. Jungkook has joined a music band in Korea with Jimin. Y/N is sitting in her bedroom, painting a portrait she needs to present at an upcoming exhibition. Suddenly, her phone rings.

Y/N: (answers the call) "Hello?"

Jungkook: "Noona, it's Jungkook. I wanted to inform you that I would be a little late today, so don't wait for me to have dinner."

Y/N: "And?!"

Jungkook: (sounding nervous) "And what?! I am done. I just needed to inform you so you don't get worried."

Y/N: "I know my Kookie very well. What are you hiding?"

Jungkook: (with a hint of nervousness) "Nothing, Noona. They are calling for practice. Bye." (He hangs up the call.)

Time passes, and it's about 2 AM. Y/N is still waiting for Jungkook to come back. Annoyed and worried, she decides to call Jimin.

Jimin: (picks up the call, sounding sleepy) "Yes, Y/N? Everything fine?"

Y/N: (confused) "Why do you sound sleepy? Aren't you practicing with the others?"

Jimin: "Talking about why I am sounding sleepy is because I was sleeping. Do you expect me to be awake at this time? And what practice?"

Y/N: "Jungkook called me this evening and said he would be late because you all have some sort of practice."

Jimin: "Why would he lie to you? We didn't have to practice late today."

Y/N: "Oh no. Where could he be? Why did he lie to me? Jimin, I'm feeling scared. Please come to me right now. Please, can you?"

Jimin: (sounding more awake) "I'm coming over. Don't panic."

(Y/N paces around her room, her mind racing with worry. She tries calling Jungkook again, but his phone is off. Moments later, she hears a knock on the door. She rushes to open it and finds Jimin standing there, looking concerned.)

Jimin: "Any news from Jungkook?"

Y/N: (worried) "No, his phone is off. I'm really scared, Jimin. What if something happened to him?"

Jimin: "We'll find him, Y/N. Let's think about where he could be. Did he mention anything unusual recently?"

Y/N: "No, nothing. He seemed fine, just a bit nervous when he called earlier."

Jimin: "Let's check with some of his friends and bandmates. Maybe they know something."

(They start making calls, reaching out to everyone they can think of. After several attempts, they finally get a lead from one of Jungkook's bandmates.)

Bandmate: "Hey, I saw Jungkook earlier tonight. He mentioned something about meeting someone important. He seemed a bit anxious."

Jimin: "Did he say where he was going?"

Bandmate: "No, but he was heading towards the old practice studio. Maybe you can check there."

Y/N: "Thank you so much. We'll head there right away."

(Jimin and Y/N rush to the old practice studio. As they approach, they see a faint light inside. They quietly enter and find Jungkook sitting alone, looking lost in thought.)
