The next morning, the ADA and PM were preparing to bring Dazai back after finding him in Fyodor's mansion. Fyodor wasn't there when they stormed the mansion again, making it easier for the team to retrieve Dazai.
Chuuya, Kunikida, and the others guided Dazai outside, but there was an eerie silence among them. Dazai seemed calm, even indifferent, as they led him toward their waiting vehicles. His usual playful and mocking demeanor was absent, replaced by an unsettling stillness.
Chuuya, walking closely beside him, couldn't help but keep stealing glances at Dazai. Something about this felt off. He had expected a struggle, more resistance, or even one of Dazai's usual sarcastic remarks, but instead, he had just quietly complied.
Once inside the van, Dazai leaned back against the seat, his eyes closed as if trying to sleep off the tension. The silence in the vehicle was thick, with everyone too uneasy to break it.
Kunikida exchanged a look with Yosano, who had been keeping an eye on Dazai ever since they found him. She hadn't said much, but there was worry written all over her face.
