"Oi, Deku!" Midoriya Izuku's head immediately hunched forward, his thick green curls creating a swirling barrier of keratin to protect his face from the incoming paper ball. As the ball made impact, Midoriya did his best to ignore the jeers of his classmates and the urge to reveal 'his' quirk.

But even if he was called quirkless, useless, Deku, or whatever else they came up with, he'd never stoop to Bakugo's level. Public quirk usage was a serious crime, one he'd never commit to doing outside of his nightly activities. Even then though, it wasn't really his quirk to use, so could he really be charged?

Shaking his head from those thoughts, Midoriya tilted his head upwards to face the board; his short stature barely allowed him the ability to see over his classmate's backs, but he certainly wasn't going to approach the teacher to ask for a seat change. Instead of seeing the older man's scrawl however, he was faced with the sneering face of a blonde boy with red eyes. "Do you get off on ignoring me, Deku?"

Midoriya shot out of his chair in fright, his foot becoming caught under his bag as he stumbled backwards. Bakugo, his blonde bully, laughed mockingly at the boy's blunder, an action that only doubled in power as Midoriya finally toppled over and landed on the ground. "S-Sorry Kacchan–" Bakugo's face immediately shifted from mocking to furious. "B-Bakugo, I was just trying to take the notes from the board."

"Right, right, taking down notes..." Bakugo stepped to the side, allowing Midoriya to survey the classroom, the empty classroom; excluding him, Bakugo, and 2 of the boy's friends, the class was completely devoid of people. "From the board that was wiped clean almost 10 minutes ago."

"Oh." Midoriya mumbled quietly. "Sorry about that, I was kinda caught in my own world." Bakugo huffed angrily as he picked up the green haired boy's notebook, holding it with a single hand like it was a bag of garbage.

"Uh huh, and that world better be nowhere near my world; the world of heroes." As usual, the boy threw the notebook behind his back and stalked out of the room, adding a final warning for the boy to back away from heroics before he slammed the door.

Midoriya sat in the classroom for several more minutes, simply wallowing in his own thoughts as the clock above his head continued to click. Not for the first time, he wished he could always stay in his vigilante form.

Before that train of thought could be given any real attention however, the dusty mophead of one of the janitors tapped him lightly on the side. Midoriya's glowing eyes met the man's own cloudy ones for several moments before he nudged him once again. "Oh! Sorry Mister Akame, I kinda lost track of time."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just get outta the room so I can clean." Akame nudged him once again, and Midoriya quickly leapt to his feet and began to clear out his things from the room. Instead of sitting outside however, he snatched one of the janitor's cleaning buckets and began to help. "I've said it a dozen times kid, but leave my stuff alone." Akame said gingerly.

Midoriya chuckled lightly at the man's words, having heard it far more than a dozen times. "Your quirk can't sense the windows too well though, so you always end up missing them if I don't help." The boy replied happily.

"You saying I'm bad at my job?" Akame laughed silently as his green haired companion froze up and stuttered out an apology. "I'm just messing with you; thanks for the help."

"No problem sir." This song and dance had been repeated between them a hundred times, but neither of them would ever bother to change it. "Since my mom is working late, there isn't much for me to do outside of helping around."

"That sounds like something a hero would say, or what one should say, but you already know my views on that." Midoriya laughed with the man's words once again, adding an unseen nod as well. "None of those heroes care about the little guy anymore, even that new rookie...Death Legs?"
