Two nights after his first encounter with the boy, Aizawa once again found himself face-to-face with him. Weirdly, they weren't on the same roof as before; it made the pro hero wonder about how the kid travelled in the first place.
"Lock Picking." The boy replied tiredly upon being asked.
"Are you sure that you should be telling a pro hero, an overseer of the law, that you regularly commit crimes?" Aizawa asked rhetorically. The kid shrugged, an expression perfectly conveying the meaning of 'dunno, are you gonna do something about it?'. "Well as a pro hero, I'm obligated to tell you to stop; but since you're here, have you seen anything new during your 'hero-watching' activities? Anything to do with that blur from the other night?"
The kid shifted on his feet slightly, leaning ever so slightly to the right to allow Shouta to see the maneki neko figurine sitting behind him on the roof's edge. "Nothing to do with the blur...but I did see quite a few deals going on with that amplifying drug. I did some research online and found out it was called trigger, and one of the dealers mentioned it was being exported out of Naruhata via train."
Aizawa narrowed his eyes slightly in the boy's direction. "You shouldn't be getting close to these things, kid, and not researching them; this is dangerous hero work, not something that should be conducted as a hobby."
"Getting close meaning figuratively or literally? Because if you mean literally, they aren't exactly the quietest bunch." Almost as if on cue, a loud grunt was heard from below. Aizawa quickly ran over to the building's edge, while his conversation partner continued to stand in the same place.
"Kid, stay back, that guy is taking trigger." He backed up slightly, just enough to give Aizawa peace of mind before he leapt into the alley below.
Tentacles exploded from the man's skin, whipping around the crowded alley like a web of flesh. 'Emitter type, if I can get a good look at the user, I'll be able to cancel it easily.' With a serious frown, Aizawa snatched a handful of his capture weapon from around his collar and snapped it out towards a tentacle.
Almost a decade of experience allowed him to kick off of the wall and dodge another leathery appendage coming from his right, one that would have almost certainly put him out of commission. The capture weapon sagged slightly as it wrapped around the tentacle Aizawa had been aiming at; a rough tug fixed that issue in an instant, allowing him to swing himself over where he presumed the addict stood.
'There's too many of these things, I can't get a good view.' Aizawa shot out his capture weapon once again, trying from a different angle, only to find his tool missing its anchor point as all of the tentacles in the area were dragged away. The pro hero kicked off of the wall once again, evading several appendages as they were dragged past him and pushed into the darkness.
"Ugh..." Aizawa's attention immediately snapped towards the origin of the voice, the voice that unmistakably belonged to his vigilante. They were lying on the pavement, rubbing their backside as they slowly stood to their feet. Before he could cancel their quirk, however, the villain's tentacles erupted from the depths of the void in every possible direction. "Go save that kid or whatever...I saw them on my way in." Shouta's head snapped upwards to see the vigilante above him; his legs were almost crossed as if he was trying to maximize his air time with a single jump.
"Tch." Aizawa looked back at the villain before throwing his capture scarf behind the vigilante and towards the roof. "Stay here, and keep damage to a minimum." He growled.
"Yeah...I got it..." Turbo Granny flipped to the side as Aizawa dragged himself away. With a quick twist, he threw out a kick that knocked aside multiple tentacles at once.
