Liv sat at a table, a glass of wine in hand, watching Elliot dance with his mother. Then her attention was drawn to the weight on her finger, she could remember when Ed proposed to her and how guilty she felt when she said no to him, but somehow, something about this just felt right and she couldn't explain it.
"Are you having regrets already?" El smiled as he sat beside her.
"Not at all, strangely" She admitted "I was actually thinking about when Ed proposed to me"
"He did?" She nodded, spinning the ring around her finger using her thumb.
"When he proposed it didn't feel right, I already felt like I wasn't worth his love. But, when you proposed..."
"It felt right" He finished for her, earning a nod.
"I can't explain it" She shrugged, still playing with her ring. Elliot held out his hand to her.
"Dance with me"
"I have two left feet" She groaned.
"Then its good that I'm wearing good shoes" He smiled as she took his hand, letting him lead her over to the dance floor of the bar. El placed one hand on her hip as he clasped her other in his, her free hand going to his shoulder as they began swaying to the music.
"You're wearing the necklace I gave you"
"Yeah. A ring from Noah and a bracelet from Bernie too" He nodded before he let out a small sigh, his breath tickling her face.
"I meant every word Liv"
"I know. I'm sorry that I couldn't say it back"
"I didn't expect you too"
Across the bar El and Liv didn't know that they were being watched.
"Look at that" Fin muttered.
"At what?" Eli asked.
"They look at each other like people in romance films do" Noah spoke up.
The song ended, a slower one beginning. Elliot pulled her closer, both of his hands dropping to her waist, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. His face was close to hers, his nose running along hers "Please. Please, can I?"
"Your family is right there" She barely muttered, her heart racing, she was half breathless.
"I don't care" Liv pressed forward, pressing her lips against his, moulding her mouth against his. One hand dropped her waist and moved into her hair, threading his fingers through it as he returned the kiss, once again devouring her lips with his. Liv felt a moan rising in her throat but she bit it back and reluctantly pulled away from Elliot, pressing her forehead against his.
"I'm sorry. I'm-"
"I'm not" She admitted, resting her head on his shoulder as they started moving to the music once again.

Liv tucked a very sleepy Noah into bed before she moved out into the living room where Elliot was setting up a bed on the couch.
"Hey, you don't have to sleep on the couch"
"It's fine"
"No, its not, believe me. The nights that I fall asleep on there is the mornings when my back aches"
"I can't ask you to do that-"
"You're not, I'm offering" She smiled "Come on, you can get comfy whilst I change" She moved into the bedroom and he followed after her, watching from the doorway as she took off Noah's ring, then Bernie's bracelet, and finally the necklace that he gave her "Are you going to come in or just watch from the door?" She teased.
"I like watching you" He admitted, stepping inside as he closed the door behind him.
"Well, unfortunately for you I'm not going to let you watch this next part" She teased as she grabbed a set of pyjamas out of her dresser and moved into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her with a soft click. He moved around her room, looking at the pictures of Noah and him that decorated her room. After a few minutes he heard the faucet run and he crossed the room, gently turning the handle to the bathroom door before he pushed it open. Liv was in her pyjamas, her hair tied up messily as she washed the makeup from her face. She lifted her head then, her eyes meeting his in the mirror briefly before she continued her nightly routine of applying serums and creams. When she was done she tugged the band from her hair and turned back to El.
"All done"
"You look good without makeup"
"Wrinkles and all?" He smiled.
"Wrinkles and all" She smiled.
"Come on, it's late and we have to work on your appeal tomorrow"
"Yes wife" He teased, following her back into the bedroom after she shut off the bathroom light. Liv climbed into her side of the bed and El followed, doing the same beside her.
"We're going to be okay, right? We can do this?"
"We can do this El. We've pretended to be married before, this will be much easier"
"This isn't fake to me" Liv turned her head, meeting his eyes "I want to show you that I'm worthy of you" Liv rolled away from him, her eyes fixed on the wall.
"You already are. You just have to ask"
