"Do I really have to do this?" Jimin whispered as his makeup artist dabbed a bit of powder onto the tip of his nose, attempting to hide the remains of the flush from his crying session earlier. Her kind brown eyes shifted to his as she let out a sigh.

"Oh, Jimin-ah, you'll be alright. Just don't think about it for now."

He wasn't comforted by her soothing voice, or by the way his hair stylist was tugging each lock of hair into place, something he usually found quite relaxing.

He was dreading this stupid live.

[THE DAY BEFORE]

Jimin had grown beyond restless and frustrated with his boyfriend. Yoongi hadn't been himself, or who he usually was when he was around Jimin, for almost two weeks now. He had no idea what had gotten into the elder.

Jimin shot Yoongi a text from across the room.

- Hyung, we need to talk

Yoongi looked up from where he sat against the practice space wall, stare blank.

- Ok.

Jimin frowned at the dry response, but he pocketed his phone so as to not overthink too much. Dance practice had gone smoothly, and the boys were excited for their season's greetings live that was scheduled for the next day.

"Jiminie-hyung"~

Jungkook's cheerful voice floated through Jimin's thoughts, interrupting his wallowing. The maknae skipped over to his hyung, who flashed him a bright smile.

"Yes, Jungkookie?"

"I was just wondering what you're going to do tomorrow with Yoongi-hyung?" Jungkook said eagerly, clutching Jimin's sleeve.

"I have a little something for him, don't worry." Jimin responded in a hushed voice, glancing over at his boyfriend, still unable to shake the nagging feeling something was wrong.

"How long will it have been, hyung? Six years?"

"Yep, and hopefully more to come..." Jimin trailed off, getting the knot of anxiety once more as he looked at Yoongi. Though he masked his expression so that Jungkook wouldn't worry, he was beyond concerned for Yoongi.

Jungkook raised his fist.

"Fighting!!"

Jimin ruffled his hair affectionately. As the staff took their leaves to (finally) go home, the boys and a few of their managers were left in the practice space.

Hoseok and Seokjin took their leave first, both with weary expressions but still smiling. Namjoon  walked out with two of the managers, deep in discussion about tomorrow's live and what was being released. Taehyung and Jungkook both hesitated at the door, turning back to Jimin and Yoongi, who were still not ready to leave.

"Jimin-ah, are you coming?" Taehyung asked, confusion flickering across his face when Jimin shook his head.

"You guys go first, I'll catch up to you. I have something to do first." He smiled as sweetly as he could muster and waved his friends off.

Then, it was him and Yoongi alone in the practice room. The elder was leaning against the mirror tiredly, and it looked like he wanted nothing more than to leave and sleep.

"Yoongi-ah," Jimin began. "What's going on with you? You've been so out of it." He walked over to where Yoongi stood, still scrolling through his phone.
