My heart was thumping so hard in my chest, I thought it was going to break through the barriers of my rib cage and run away.
Beads of sweat were forming at my hairline. I could see them from where I stood. I couldn't begin to tell you how long I had waited to meet Paramore, my all time favourite band. Or at least see them live. As cliche as it may sound, it is absolutely a dream come true.
(A/N: Can't figure out how to do the apostrophe over the 'e' in cliche)
2 months, I had been waiting for this day. I remember coming home from school, sulking through the front door and shuffling my feet along the ground as my day wasn't too crash hot. Then mum presented me with the ticket to their meet and greet and my face instantly beamed with the utter most delight one could contain.
I take another step as the line progresses. My hands shaking as I grip one of the many posters I possess of the band. I spot Hayley, she was the last one, sitting at the far end of the cloth-covered table. Her pearly white teeth on display as she smiles at each and every fan that comes to greet her. Her smile was radiant, it could light up the room matched with the gleam of her eyes. Beautiful.
Hayley Williams was definitely my celebrity crush. Although, not only is she a complete stunner but watching interviews with her and the band just made me love her even more. Her personality, her voice, her never-ending bucket of kindness towards everyone made my heart swell with adoration.
I'm approaching the table now, it was in reaching distance. One foot moves in front of the other, carefully. How embarrassing would it be if I tripped over and land a total face-plant in front of my idols? Yeah, no thank you.
I come to a stop in front of Jeremy Davis. He smiles warmly at me and greets me with a friendly voice.
"Hello-o" I stutter out the 'o', mentally face palming myself. Jeremy's black sharpie scribbles across the thick paper of the poster before sliding it over to Taylor.
"Thank you for coming!" he exclaims, shaking my hand. Oh my lord, I am dead.
"The pleasure was all mine" I chuckle nervously.
I take one step forward which lands me in front of Taylor York.
"Well, hello there!" he smiles brightly, whilst getting to work on the poster.
"Hello!" I say a little more enthusiastically. My nerves started running wild as I realised I was literally one step away from becoming face to face with Hayley freakin' Williams.
Taylor slides the poster on over to Hayley and thanks me for coming today. I smile at him and take a deep breath, turning my attention to the goddess behind the black cloth-covered table.
Hayley lifts her eyes to meet mine and she stops for just a second to take in... well, me. "H-hey, Hayley" I manage to stutter out. Good one.
"Hello beautiful, what's your name?" I nearly die right then and there at the words emerging from her mouth. She thinks I'm beautiful? Me? What? The heat rises to my cheeks, surely turning them a rosy colour.
"Kayley" I say shyly.
"Hey! It rhymes! Pretty name" Hayley winks, causing me to giggle.
I notice Hayley write something on the back of the poster and wonder what it could be. Maybe a little picture? Her phone number? That would be cool. Hey, a girl can dream right?
