New Ephyra Military Academy

Jaune was now training the new recruits on what to do and not to do

Marcus was conversing with Dom who has now taken residence on New Ephyra as his wife is now with the kids while he catches up with Marcus

Dom: so you name your kid after me?

Marcus: it's the least I could do for all the times we spent together. And for.....

Dom: don't Marcus I chose to lay down my life to give you guys a chance. So that's on me.

They heard as Jaune began instructing the noobs on how to use a grenade

Jaune: alright first recruit step forward.

Soldier: Private Michael J. Caboose reporting for duty sir!

Jaune: alright caboose, show us what you got.

And be careful the targets cover moves around. In any battlefield the environment may shift depending on current events or any physical action is taken.

So make sure your timing is right or pop goes the weasel.

Then targets appeared and moves around

Caboose then draws a Frag and throws it but the wall shifted upwards as the grenade stuck into it a few feet from where the private was

Caboose: uh-oh.

Jaune then grabbed the recruit and jumped into nearby cover as the grenade explodes and destroys a large part of the area

Benjamin: that was the worst throw of all time.

Anthony: it wasn't his fault a wall got in his way.

Dom: wow reminds of a certain someone huh Marcus?

Flashback

Marcus: you called it a Monkey-dog? I have a special bone for it.

He then throws the Frag a few floors up and with a loud boom they thought the wretch was dead

But the Rookie saw something

Benjamin: look! Another one!!!

As he threw the grenade but his error is not putting enough strength in his throw landing on a wrecked care a few feet from him and Dom

Benjamin: uh-oh.....

*BOOM*

And Dom and the Rookie were downed

Flashback Ends

Marcus: looks like JD has his own Carmine under his wing.

Jaune: Caboose you are not allowed to use any ordinance without supervision.

Caboose: uh sir yes sir!

The training ends without further incident

Dom: so I heard your taking command of all Gears?

Jaune: yeah got to do the family proud.

Marcus: JD you don't have to. Me and Anya are proud of you no matter what.

Jaune: okay, but I want to help other people out there. Like you guys did during the War.

Dom: kids got a good heart like his mother... But he has your hard head.

Baird: hey guys I just finished amassing our arsenal. I would like for Commander JD to check our inventory to see if our forces are up to snuff. When we're going for these Grimm shits.

Jaune: alright Baird I'll meet you in your workshop. Gotta check Del about those refugees that came out of Argus.

Dom: I heard Atlas became even more paranoid when you used the Hammer of Dawn.
