"Bill!" you called, watching him go up the stairs of that creepy old house. Upon dropping your bike on the front lawn you rushed to go after him, storming past the gate. But, before you could, a voice from behind called out for him.
"Bill, you can't go in there!" Beverly said from behind. "This is crazy!" It gained the attention of one of your best friends who turned to face the group with the same look he had on before storming off.
"Look, you don't have to come with me. But what happens when another Georgie goes missing? Or another Betty or another Ed Corcoran or one of us? Are you just gonna pretend it isn't happening like everyone else in this town? Because I..I can't. I go home and all I see is that Georgie isn't there. His clothes, his toys, his stupid stuffed animals, but... He isn't," Everyone's heads were practically looking down, including yours. A hint of sorrow weighs on your shoulders, realizing that Bill was right. If you guys don't do something about it, then nobody will. "So walking into this house, for me, is easier than walking into my own."
Bill turned, wiping away any set of tears before walking towards the front of the house.
"Wow," Richie marveled from afar, a shocked expression laid restless on his face.
"What?" you turned to ask him.
"He didn't stutter once."
You made your way up the stairs with the likes of Richie, Ben and Eddie closely behind, but before you could take a single step up into the house, Stanley interjected.
"Wait!" he spoke and now everyone, including you turned to face him. "Um..." he looked guilty, like he was hiding something, but you couldn't figure out what. "..shouldn't we have some people keep watch?"
Bill's fingers laid restless on the doorknob as he stared back at the group.
"You know, just in case something bad happens?" Stanley replied, quietly.
"Wh..w..who wants to stay out here?" Bill asked, and everyone except for Beverly raised their hands. You turned around to see that you weren't the only one that didn't want to go into that burnt-down house, but you knew that it would be pretty bad to just let Bill go in alone so you put your hand down as well as some of the others.
"Fuck!" Richie blurted out, walking past you in annoyance.

Everyone stayed outside except for you, Bill, Richie and Eddie. As you slowly made your way into the hallway, thanks to the obvious creaky sound coming from the rusted old door. You began to look around, noticing how much of a dump this place really was. You've never gone inside and weren't ever planning on stepping foot but you got to say that this definitely looked way worse than you imagined.
