"You." Mrs. K accused, grabbing her son by his good arm, and shoved him by the neck. "You did this!"
You were all standing on her front lawn, a look of disgust and anger in her eyes. She was practically shaking with fury, so much so that she moved past you guys, pushing each one to make sure you could feel her rage. You were sure that if anyone said a peep to her at that moment, she probably would explode.
"You know how delicate he is!" she hissed again. Everyone began to move closer to the vehicle, ready to take any punishment she might throw at us in response.
"We were attacked, M..Mr..Mrs.K." Bill had tried his best to reason with her, but she didn't want to hear it. Instead, she opted to open the passenger door and shoved her own son in. So much for being careful with her 'delicate son.'
"No!" she snapped, turning around to face Bill face to face. "Don't!" You could practically feel the spit from here. "Don't try to blame this on anyone else!" She slammed the car door shut and turned towards the group in a pit of rage. Eddie sat in the car, silent with tears staining his eyes. He couldn't even bring himself to look back at the group, to you, or Bill or even Richie.
Mrs. K stumbled with her keys, before they launched up into the air before falling directly at Beverly's feet. "Let me help." She bent down to pick them up, but Mrs. K beat her to the punch, pushing her aside.
"Get back!" she screamed, picking up the keys herself. Then she turned to Bev and made a cocky smirk, one you could see when someone was at the turning point.
"Oh, I've heard about you, Miss Marsh." Mrs. K hissed. "And I don't want a dirty girl like you touching my son." You were this close to kicking her in the face, if it wasn't for the better conscious of getting into even more trouble than you probably already were. Hopefully, your parents don't find out what you did, not like they would believe you if you explained a killer clown did it.
This time it was your turn to speak, "Mrs. K, I..." but before you could even get another word in, she turned, pointing her greasy finger at your face. You were glad that she didn't touch you at that moment, but you still felt gross just from the smell of her skin alone.
"No!" she turned to yell, "You are all monsters." then she moved her finger to all the others, continuing to ramble for who knows what. "All of you."
"And Eddie is done with you." she fumed with rage. "Do you hear? DONE."
You all watched from the sidelines, as Mrs.K stumbled her way into the driver's seat, before driving away. Eddie took one final look at you, before he disappeared into the shadows of the car. You could have sworn that it looked like he was going to cry.
The rest of the Losers' walked down the street, watching the light-brown car drive away, turning towards a corner; disappearing entirely. Silence fell. A sad, miserable silence as the group realized they had lost a part of the Losers' Club forever.
Then, Bill turned towards the group and sprang an answer none of you guys thought he would say right now. "I..I saw the well." Richie stared at him, eyeing him down like any other person would to a crazy one. "W..w..we know where it is, and next t..time we'll be b..better prepared."
There was no way he wanted to go back there again, not after what you guys just witnessed and experienced for the first time.
You never wanted to go back there, never.
"No!" Stanley yelled from beside you. "No next time, Bill!"
"You're insane!"
"Why?" Beverly defended him. You couldn't believe your eyes that Beverly would do something like that. Bill sure, but Beverly? "We all know that no one else is going to do anything."
"Eddie was nearly killed!" Richie practically snapped, then proceeded to point at the bleeding Ben, holding in whatever was left of his organs. "And look at this motherfucker. He's leaking like a Hamburger Helper!"
"We can't pretend it's gonna go away!" Beverly spoke, then she turned towards Ben. "Ben, you said it yourself. It comes back every 27 years!"
"Fine, I'll be 40 and far away from here." Ben argued.
"I thought you said you wanted to get out of this town, too." you recalled, hoping to get through to her that this was crazy.
Then she turned towards you, a glare in her eyes before she spoke. "Because I wanna run towards something. Not away."
"I'm sorry, who invited Molly Ringwald into the group!?" Richie yelled, pointing his finger at Beverly.
Beverly gave him a fuck you look, before flipping him off in the process.
"Hey, back off!" I said, shoving him.
"Why? Because you have a crush on her?" he pointed out. "We all know!"
You looked at Beverly with a heavy blush on your face, as you looked away in embarrassment.
Then he turned to face Bill, giving him the same threatening glare he gave you. "And let's face facts. Real world. Georgie is dead. Stop trying to get us killed, too."
"Georgie's not dead!" Bill exclaimed looking equally pissed off.
"You couldn't save him, but you can still save yourself." Richie proved his point, before he walked towards you. "And you, what happened bros before hoes and why with this girl?!"
Something inside of you clicked as you watched him walk off, within seconds you blocked his way out, so did Bill, cornering him. "N..no! Take it b..b...back! You're scared, and we all a-are, but take it ba..back!"
You pushed him again, causing him to fall back towards Mike. He doved towards you, doing the same as you did to him, but before he could do any damage Bill punched him square in the face. Within seconds, you all started fighting each other, punching, kicking and screaming at each other.
"Stop!" Beverly screamed, but it wasn't getting through to anyone, not even to you.
It took everyone else to push each other away and still we were inches away from beating each other again. "Fuck off!" you screamed. Mike grabbed on to you tightly, making sure you didn't cause more damage than you've already done.
"You're a bunch of losers and you'll get yourselves killed trying to catch a fucking stupid clown!" Richie screamed, pulling himself away from Stanley's grasps.
"This is what it wants!" she pleaded, which caused you to turn around and look at what you did. "It wants to divide us! We were all together when we hurt it!"
The group casted each other a mixture of hurt, angry and wary looks.
"That's why we're still alive!" Beverly ended it off.
"Yeah?" Richie yelled. "Well, I plan to keep it that way!" walking past you and towards his bike, bumping your shoulder in the process.
As the others joined Richie, you opted to do the same, in the opposite direction. But before you could reach your Bike, you heard a voice call out your name.
"Y/N." she called.
You turned around to meet face to face with your crush. Beverly pursed her lips together, it looked like she was pleading with you to stay. But you knew if you stayed, it would only get you killed.
"I can't do this." you reasoned, a defeating expression plastered on your face. You picked up your bike from off the ground and rode off back home, hoping that Eddie's mom didn't get you in trouble.
But as you continued your way back home, a thought entered your mind.
Was this the end of the Losers' Club?
