When you awoke the very next morning, to the sound of knocking on your front door.
Upon sitting up from out of your bed, you had hoped that whoever it was would just give up or even better leave. But it continued regardless.
"Go away!" you yelled, pushing one of your pillows over your head. But despite your best efforts to ignore them, whoever it was still continued to knock, leaving you no other choice but to get out of bed. A shiver ran down your spine, upon feeling your feet hit the cold marble floor.
When you reached over to open the door, you were shocked to see Bill standing in front of you. He looked anxious and yet he was fidgeting with his hands, it seemed like it was something pretty important.
"What's going on, Bill?" you asked. Rubbing your eyes awake. "Why are you here so early in the morning?"
"I...i..it's about Bev.""What about her?"
—
Bill had already filled you in on the way there, apparently Beverly had called and told him to bring everyone over. From what he had described, she sounded...scared.
You and Bill hurriedly made your way towards Beverly's house, stopping to get Richie, Stanley, Eddie and Ben before heading over. Waking them up from whatever beauty sleep they were having for a dire emergency.
You fell silent on the ride over, thinking about what Bill had told you. While the others continued chatting amongst themselves, something kept eating away at your mind. Why did she call Bill and not you? Did she like Bill and that's the reason why she didn't think to ever call you? If she did, it would be alright...I guess, but it still bothered you to know why.
The moment Beverly's apartment came into view, you decided to ride ahead. The rest didn't really seem to care all that much, since they were all way too distracted by Eddie and Richie's constant arguing. Probably talking about shit and whatever we stepped in back at the sewers. Obviously you didn't really care in the slightest, what you wanted to know was the truth.
Once you dropped your bike on to the apartment's front lawn, Beverly came out of the blue and ran towards you. "You made it. I-" Beverly seemed pretty shaken up, maybe it wasn't such a good idea asking her..just yet. But just before you could even say anything to calm her down, she pulled you into a hug.
It felt nice, so much so that you felt obligated to do the same, thinking this might be her way of calming herself down. But the moment soon passed, when she heard voices nearby. She instantly pulled away from you so as to not form any suspicion or misunderstandings.
But you could have sworn that you saw a hint of blush in her cheeks, but maybe that was just your imagination trying to make yourself feel better. Shortly afterwards, the others finally joined and you all began following Beverly up the set of stairs towards her home.
"I..I need to show you something," she told the group behind her.
"What is it?" asked Ben.
"More than what we saw at the quarry?" Richie said from the back, the only thing anyone had to say to that was a look of disbelief.
"Shut up!" screamed Eddie. "Just shut up, Richie!" This time around, Richie actually stopped talking and didn't hit him back with another yo mama joke.
She glanced towards you, then back to the group. "My dad will kill me if he finds out I had boys in the apartment,"
"Then, w..we'll leave a lo...lookout." Bill suggested, looking around the group for a potential candidate. "R..Richie, s..s..stay here."
