6. YES TO THE MARRIAGE

Author's pov

Her father asked her to sit with him and he said, "beta kisi ki baat ko negatively mat lo. Sab tumhara bhala sochte hai. Mai jaanta hu ki tumhe yeh saadi wali baat acchi nahi lagi par beta saadi to jaroori.... " (Beta Don't think negatively. Every one is thinking for your well being. I know you don't like the marriage talk but beta it's important)

There amulya cuts him off by saying, "saadi jaroori kyu hai? Kyu mujhe sabko chorr ke jaana hoga? Mujhe nahi karni saadi. (Why marriage is important? Why I need to leave everyone? I am not going to married). Kritarth her father sigh and says that

" Tum kisi ko chorr ke nahi jaa rahi. Kya tum mrei beti nahi rahogi saadi ke baad? Yaa tum aapne bhaiyo ki behen nahi rahogi? Kisne kaha saadi ka matlab sabki chorr ke jaana hai..?

He continues "don't you want someone like me? Don't you want someone to love you the way I love your mother? Don't you want someone who'll cherish you admires and give it all to you the way I do for your mother? Tell me....

Amulya's pov

The moment papa asked these questions I don't know but something inside me triggered to a good point and I started thinking all the things my father just mentioned and I don't know why but my lashes automatically come down and my face become red. I don't know why but suddenly I wanted it all.

Papa's lips form a curve seeing me like this. And then he asked about my answer and I nodded shyly and he hugged me and kissed my temple.

atharv's pov

Next morning, I woke up at my usual time 6'o clock. And did my morning routine and went to gym section and did exercises and yoga asana. After bathing I went down stairs and wished every one and went to the dining area. While having breakfast every one again started their favorite topics 'MY MARRIAGE'.

Every one was convincing me for marriage and I was ignoring. After finishing breakfast, I was going toward my room to get ready for the office but my dadu called me.

I went to his room, dadi was also there. They asked me to sit and I did. Dadu says,
"I know beta, you are thinking why I called you here. So let me tell you as you know you are old enough to get married.
And I think you should get married now". The moment he said all this I became blank completely blank. Like firstly I wasn't expecting this from him buf I composed my self and and tried to disgust his words

Dadi said, "I too agreed with him this is a perfect time for you to get married bachha. What the problem in getting married? Tell me I'll try to understand!.

They saw me in hope I will telling something but the problem is that I don't really have any problem. It's just I don't want to and I said this to them that I don't have any problem it's just I don't want.
And I saw disappointed in their eyes. Dadi sigh and said,
"Have you seen around your self like your parents your uncle aunt me your dadu?
I nodded my head telling her to continue and she did: What did you notice? She asked me and I was sitting there Dumpfolded unaware of what to say and then dadu continue saying
" Your dadi is talking about love, care, happiness in your surrounding. Have you ever saw your parents looking at each other with so much love and admiration?

I said yes, I have!

And then he said: this is what marriage will give you love and care towards your partner.

They said we can only tell you about what is right and wrong what to do and what not but all the way decision will be your so take your time and think about the moments you witness between your parents and then only decide.

We believe, you won't decide wrong.

With that he went out of the room and headed toward his room to get ready for the office.
