I don't own xplr or anything of the likes. This fanfic is written for entertainment only, and will mostly be set in the UK and there will be mentions of other people who are friends of Sam and Colby, but some will appear mostly through video calls or messages. Everything in this book was made up for the plot, like the londoner's lodge (inspired by the lodge episode of doctor who), and who's haunting the londoner's lodge (the additional ghosts/spirits/entity's/demons are also made up for the plot)

Warning: mentions of death, blood, ghostly apparitions, eldric horrors, possession, broken glass, minor injuries, haunting (will add more later if need be).

Esther stared out the window of the moving car, her back leaned against the plush seat (if anything they were as stiff as wood), her arms were crossed as she looked out at the buildings that passed them by. The blonde bit her lip anxiously. "Only for three days. Shouldn't be too much trouble." She whispered, her gaze going towards the two twenty-seven-year olds, both of which were smiling and chatting with each other.

This would've been her first time back in England. She honestly never missed the place, too much noise. At least the streets and buildings hadn't changed. Esther groaned when a song she hated came on, her gaze now going to the radio. She scooted further towards the two men, pushing her hand forwards to turn the knob, the radio stuttered, switching channels as her hand went through the knob. "Right." She muttered, momentarily forgetting that she wasn't alive.

"Damnit, stupid radio." Sam, the one who was driving, spoke, turning the knob his hand going through hers. She missed the physical touch of other humans, but decided to ignore it as Sam worked on the radio with Colby, the blonde's best friend, and laughed at the misfortune.

"Dude, what did you do to the radio?" Colby chuckled, putting his camera down. Sam rolled his eyes, hitting the radio a bit before it started to work again, this time on a song that Esther didn't entirely hate.

"Nothing, it probably got all jumbled or something. They gave a crappy vehicle," Sam grumbled, his gaze going back to the road as he continued to drive.

"Or it's one of your attachments," Colby joked.

"Dude, don't joke like that." Sam said, eyeing his friend before going back to driving. Esther sighed, leaning her head against Sam's seat, watching the cars pass them. This ride felt long.

"I wish you could hear me," Esther whispered. Sam shivered involuntarily, Colby giving his friend a concerned look.

"You okay?" He asked. Sam nodded as the two were nearing the Lodge they came all the way out here for.

"Yeah, just a chill, I'm good." He said, parking the rental outside of the small Lodge. It was nearing nighttime, so they'd have to hurry up and set their equipment up before they started their recording. The trio was startled when Colby's phone started to ring, he took his phone out and answered it.

"Hello?" He questioned.

"Colby!" Amanda's voice rang into his ear, he put the phone out in front of him as he set the speaker up, all three listening for the woman on the other end. "Are you at the Lodge?" The two friends gave each other weirded out expressions.

"Yeah, how'd you know that?" Sam asked, unbuckling.

"You need to be careful. Like, really careful guys." Amanda said, her voice filled with worry. Colby raised a brow and looked at his friend.

"We're always careful, Amanda," Colby said.

"No, I mean, whatever you do, please don't do any kind of seance. Nothing." She seemed panicked now, ruffling of notes could be heard on the other side.

Esther became alert at the alarming things the woman on the phone said. What was she on about? "Amanda, are you okay? You seem... Scared." Sam spoke, his voice also sounded a little panicked.

"No I'm not okay! I just had a premonition of something happening in that Lodge. But I don't know what, it was blurry and there was this blonde woman I think," Amanda said. Esther tilted her head.

"Blonde woman?" Colby asked.

"Yes. Blonde. I heard a name too. Esther, I think." She said. The two looked at each other, confused. Esther's eyes widened.

"We don't know anyone by that name, Amanda." Sam said, opening his door now.

"I know! But she might be some kind of entity. Someone that was attached to one of you." Amanda said.

"Definitely Sam's then," Colby gave his friend a smug smile.

"Oh haha," Sam rolled his eyes.

"She knows me," Esther said.

"Just, please be careful you guys, I'll call you again when I get more information." The call ended.

"That was... Strange." Colby said. Sam nodded in agreement. The trio exited the car looking at the small building as the door creaked open.

"Hello there young men, you must be Sam and Colby," came a woman's voice. She was older than all three, waddling herself towards them as Sam and Colby both greeted her half way.

"We are. You must be Imogen." Sam smiled, shaking her hand after Colby.

"In the flesh," the old lady said, her eyes gazing behind the boys as she saw Esther with warm eyes. "Oh, you didn't tell me you were bringing a friend."

"We didn't." Colby said, looking behind them and looking past where Imogen was gazing at. Esther made sure to look anywhere but them.

"Oh, must be my eyes, I'm not as young as I used to be you know. Now, follow me and I'll give you a small tour before you settle in." Imogen led them inside, Esther following behind them, keeping her gaze on the ground.
