4. Family Ties

Rosalie: (voiceover) "Previously on the Vampire Diaries . . ."

From "Pilot", fog was seen spreading through the trees, along the ground.

From "Pilot", Stefan was standing on the roof of the Salvatore Boarding House, watching the sunrise.

Stefan: (voiceover) "For over a century, I have lived in secret. Until now. I know the risk, but I have to know her."

Stefan jumped off the roof, landing on the ground, smoothly.

From "The Night of the Comet", Stefan and Elena were staring at each other in class, smiling.

Elena: (voiceover) "I'm Elena."

From "Pilot", Stefan and Elena were in the cemetery.

"I'm Stefan," Stefan introduced himself.

From "The Night of the Comet", Maria walked closer. "I'm Maria."

From "The Night of the Comet", Damon tilted his head as he looked at Elena, curiously.

Maria: (voiceover) "I see you've already met Damon and Anton."

From "The Night of the Comet", Anton planted a kiss on Sofia's hand.

Elena: (voiceover) "You didn't tell me you had brothers or a sister."

From "The Night of the Comet", Elena and Stefan were standing outside the Grill, holding candles.

"It's complicated," Stefan stated.

From "Pilot", Anton and Sofia were standing in the street, staring at each other.

Anton: (voiceover) "Sofia. She's a dead ringer for Jane. Just like Elena is for Katherine."

From "Pilot", Stefan was looking at an old picture of Katherine Pierce, who looked exactly like Elena.

From "Friday Night Bites", Sofia looked at Anton, holding a plate. "Which one of your brothers dated Katherine first?"

Anton took the plate, chuckling.

From "Friday Night Bites", Maria looked at Anton. "Jane is dead. And you hate Stefan because you loved her."

From "The Night of the Comet", Damon, Caroline and Rosalie were standing in the parking lot outside the Grill.

"I was hoping I'd see you again," Caroline said.

From "Friday Night Bites", Caroline was lying in bed, sleeping. She had a bite on her neck, covered in blood.

From "Friday Night Bites", Rosalie started to cry in fear.

Damon rushed forward to attack her.

Christian: (voiceover) "They're not puppets."

From "Friday Night Bites", Christian looked at Damon, angrily. "They don't exist for your amusement, for you to feed on whenever you want to."

From "Friday Night Bites", Damon and Caroline were in Damon's car, kissing.

From "Friday Night Bites", Damon looked at Christian. "They're whatever I want them to be."

From "Friday Night Bites", Stefan opened a box, revealing an antique necklace with an ornate pendant. "Wear it for me, for good luck."

Elena smiled.

From "Friday Night Bites", Christian pulled a bracelet adorned with a charm identical to Elena's pendant out of his pocket.

"You didn't have to get me anything," Sofia told him.

"I know, but I'd still like you to have it," Christian said.
