The rain was pouring down relentlessly, the stormy weather mirroring the tense atmosphere inside Taehyung's household. The air was thick with anticipation and a palpable sense of unease as the young man waited anxiously for his parents to react.

Today had been a day of both triumph and trepidation for Taehyung. He had excitedly awaited the release of his half-semester exam results, and to his delight, he had secured the second position in his class. It was a commendable achievement, one that he had worked tirelessly for, pushing himself to his limits to excel academically.

But just as Taehyung was basking in the glow of his success, he had received another piece of news that filled him with a mixture of pride and dread. He had won the coveted first place in a prestigious essay competition, a testament to his exceptional writing skills and analytical prowess.

Taehyung had rushed home, eager to share his accomplishments with his parents, hoping that they would be proud of his accomplishments. However, as soon as he stepped through the door, he could sense the palpable tension in the air. His parents were visibly upset, their brows furrowed, and their expressions etched with a mixture of disappointment and frustration.

The young man's heart sank as he realized that his achievements, no matter how impressive, were not enough to satisfy his parents' lofty expectations. They had set the bar impossibly high, and Taehyung, despite his best efforts, had fallen short of their uncompromising standards.

The silence that followed was deafening, punctuated only by the relentless patter of raindrops against the windows. Taehyung stood there, his shoulders slumped, his eyes downcast, as he waited for the inevitable storm to break.

He had hoped that his parents would see the value in his accomplishments, that they would recognize the hard work and dedication he had poured into his studies and extracurricular activities.
