Update before Santa's birthday!! I rushed through this one because I know in myself that if I don't update now, this update would probably be out on the weekend 🤣

The day of the team building came up. Since the company was big, having a team building for everyone at the same time was nearly impossible so each department has their own schedule and there is a separate one that all managers have to attend. They say that it's to strengthen the relationship of each department towards each other. Perth and Santa attended the one with the managers.

It was held at an adventure camp just outside the city. Santa could see an obstacle course, zipline, a mountain that could be hiked, an area for paintball, and rope courses. Whoever was assigned for this team building really went all out with the activities.

"Alright. We have a box here which contains different numbers so everyone please take turns in going in front and picking a paper. Then once done, please look for your pair and that person will become your roommate." Sam from the HR department instructed. He has taken the liberty to host the entire team building. Upon hearing the buddy system, Perth almost protested. He only agreed to join the activities but he didn't agree on being separated from Santa. When he raised his hand to confirm, Sam beat him to it.

"Oh, Mr. Tanapon you don't have to line. We have reserved an exclusive room for you."

"Just me?"

"Yes sir. Are there any problems?"

"Well, the number of participants is even so if I have a separate room of my own, one room will have 3 people in it."

"Oh, we will just have to ask for an extra mattress sir. Don't worry, we've got it under control." Sam assured Perth. He had already thought of all possible scenarios where things could go wrong so he had already prepared a back up plan.

"Well, I'm also okay having to share a room with someone." Perth offered since he's confident that his employees are too scared to share a room with him. They'll have to point at Santa since he's the one closest to him.

"Oh, okay sir. Then you can just join the rest of us in picking a paper."

Perth was surprised with Sam's decision because he thought that he'll just nominate Santa to be his roommate. Now, he's scared to pick a number that's different from Santa's. He couldn't even express his thoughts with his husband because they're still trying to keep their distance from each other. He groaned internally, hoping for the best.

It in fact did not go well.

Perth ended up having to be paired with  the manager of the Sales department, Ash, while Santa is paired with Zeke from Finance. He wanted to complain but it didn't help that Santa seemed to not mind at all.

It's called team building for a reason. You have to mingle with other people.

That was Santa's reply to him when he told him that he wanted to switch. This just made his mood sour. He can mingle with the others during the activities but why does he have to sleep with someone not his husband. He's a married man for goodness's sake. He had been waking up to Santa's face every single day for eight months already, but now he is forced to share a room with someone else. Maybe he should just scare his roommate to make him switch. Yes, he definitely could. Perth smiled at his brilliant idea.

"So Ash, I remembered that you are supposed to present this month's sales to me. It's good that we're roommates don't you think? I could check on your progress with the report." Perth started the conversation while they were fixing their stuff inside the room. He felt the man next to him froze, clearly taken aback by his boss's attempt at conversation.
