Santa felt like running away.

As he stared at his reflection in the mirror, all he wanted to do was bolt out the door and never look back. He didn't want this. He's not ready for this. But he knows there's no turning back. He couldn't even put up an expectation because he clearly doesn't know what to expect. All he knows is that he's getting married to some random guy because his parents are desperate to see him settle down. With one shaky breath, he hopes that him and the guy can at least make the marriage work.

A knock on the door brought him back to reality. He stood up and walked towards the door to open it. He comes face to face with his father-in-law who came to fetch him since the ceremony will start. It was just a civil wedding, nothing grand honestly. When they arrived at the venue, his mother-in-law was waiting at them in front of the office. She wears the biggest smile, as if she's the one who's the most excited about this wedding. Maybe because she is.

"Our son is already inside. Are you ready, Santa?" She asked as she took her place on Santa's left side as both of his in-laws will be accompanying him inside. Santa took a deep breath and mentally said goodbye to being a bachelor.

When the door of the office where the wedding will be officiated was opened, Santa couldn't even look in front of him. He was so nervous that he was busy regulating his breaths. His heart was beating out of his chest and he felt his panic rising. He kept his head bowed, trying to calm himself and letting his in-laws guide him towards his husband. When they neared the altar, he summoned his bravery to look up and see his soon-to-be-husband. He came face-to-face with someone all too familiar with him, gaze transfixed on him, devoid of emotions. Santa froze. He couldn't even take another step. His heart dropped when he realized the situation.
No. No.
He has come face-to-face with his boss.

Santa swirled to look at his mother-in-law with wide eyes.

"He's your son?" Santa is still in denial. He couldn't believe that the man that he's supposed to marry turns out to be his boss. He wouldn't fire him right?

"Yes. Is there something -"

"Mr. Pongsapak, let's just get this done with" Perth interrupted the conversation.

"Sir. I swear I didn't know." Santa tried to explain to his boss that he was not aware that he was the one he was supposed to marry. To think that he probably knew about him volunteering for the marriage. He just wants to dig his own grave due to the embarrassment.

"What do you mean sir? You know each other?" Perth's father chimed in the conversation. Everyone's confused with what's happening.

"Dad, he's my secretary." Perth replied nonchalantly. Santa couldn't believe how his boss just dropped that information as if it's not a big deal.

"Oh. Would you look at that. It seems like you two are really meant to be." Perth's mom said, amused. The official in-charge of the wedding cleared his throat, trying to stop the commotion that was happening. It seems like even he finds the situation amusing.

"Shall we proceed with the wedding? Or is there anyone that does not agree with this?"

"No sir. We shall proceed. Mr. Pongsapak?"

Perth was quick to reply and offer his hand for Santa to take. Santa had no choice but to take his boss's hand who pulled him to his side. The wedding continued without further delays even though Santa could still not wrap his mind around the situation. He was running on autopilot til they exchanged I do's. It was then that he remembered that weddings end with kisses. His hands started getting clammy, cold sweat forming on his forehead. Will his boss really do it?
