"Hello? Hello?"
Elle eyed the radio, Glenn's eyes fixed on it as well. "There you are, had me wondering." His voice filled with a little relief.
"Where are you? Outside? Can you see me right now?"
Elle pinched her brows together, her brother being bombarded with questions. She'd probably be doing the same if she were in his place "Yeah, I can see you, you're surrounded by walkers. That's the bad news." She rested her forehead on her palm sighing to herself. Wait to go, Glenn, really helping the situation.
"There's good news?"
Glenn glanced up at his sister, sighing before he looked back at the radio. "No,"
"Listen, whoever you are I don't mind telling you, I'm a little concerned in here."
Glenn glanced out over the edge of the roof they were sitting on, swallowing the lump in his throat. The walkers were all over the tank, trying to find a way in. "Oh, you should see it from up here. You'd be having a major freak out."
Elle glared daggers at her brother earning a confused look. The man sounded desperate already and he wasn't helping that in any way. "Not helping," She whispered only her brother able to hear.
"Got any advice for me?"
Even through the radio, Elle could hear his voice waver, losing hope himself.
"Yeah. I'd say make a run for it." Glenn glanced at the walkers gathering around the horse, a sick feeling in his stomach.
"That's it, make a run for it?"
Glenn scoffed to himself brows pinched in determination. "My way is not as dumb as it sounds. You got eyes on the outside here, there's one geek still up on the tank but the other joined the f-feeding frenzy where the horse went down. You with me so far?" He shivered at the thought of the creature down below.
"So far,"
Nodding approvingly Glenn proceeded. "Okay, so the street on the other side of the tank is less crowded, if you move now while they are distracted you stand a chance. You got ammo?"
"In that duffle bag I dropped out there, 'n guns, can I get to it?"
Elle looked out seeing the bag. He'd have to go in the opposite direction he would originally need to. No. She mouthed to her brother. "F-Forget the bag, it's not an option. What do you have on you?"
"Hang on,"
There was a moment of silence, Elle watching the tank from her spot, anxiety setting in after he didn't respond for a little.
"I got a barrette, with one clip, fifteen rounds."
Glenn raised a brow before putting his thoughts aside. "Make them count, jump off the right side of the tank. Keep going in that direction, there's an alley up the street maybe fifty yards. Be there,"
"Hey, what's your name?"
Elle glanced at her brother who huffed at the question, she knew it was a dire situation, but it was a small gesture showing that there was an amount of trust. "Have you been listening? You're running out of time." Her brother's voice was urgent.
Elle was about to speak up but then she heard a faint noise in front of her, glancing down she saw the man opening the tank hatch and climbing out before bashing a walker's head with his pistol in hand, the walker falling from the tank.
