Getting abducted by vampires wasn't actually the craziest thing that happened to Jason Dawn. Nor was it his first time being kidnapped, believe it or not. He grew up on his own most of his life. With a physically absent dad and an emotionally absent mother. He figured out how to do things at a young age, but sometimes things got desperate. So he took advantage of his conventionally hot figure, he was able to make a decent amount of cash out of it, pulling him out of his bankruptcy.

Unfortunately that meant some people thought they could take a piece of him when they wanted. Getting kidnapped or being held at gunpoint was practically a regular Tuesday for him. At least vampires made this more interesting for him. Though his heart went out to the other three people that had been taken with him.

Even if he wasn't surprised, it didn't mean he was less frightened. He read enough vampire books to have his mind start racing. Were they going to suck him dry of his blood, or were they a bit more erotic than that? It wasn't something he wished to find out.

The vampire that chose him was tall and broad shouldered. His skin was pale. Probably from the lack of seeing the sun in centuries. He had platinum blond hair slicked back and icy blue eyes. His expression was cold and his body language was stoic. Yet his hands were uncharacteristically gentle. A harsh contrast to his monotone, almost cold tone of voice.

Of course he had to be hot. He was a vampire. What was he expecting? And considering he had centuries in his life span, Jason knew that he had to be good in bed. Although the vampire's lack of trying to take advantage of him or start sucking his blood like it was the finest wine was a surprise to him. Definitely welcomed, but shocking all the same.

The vampire, William, had explained the night before that every so often they had to pick up some humans, because as vampires they need to create more. However, he told him he had the option to leave at the end of the month if he chose to. Another shock.

Apparently in the past, William had been kidnapped himself, but wasn't given the option. The vampire in charge took whatever prey she wanted, so he and the other vampires with him took her out. They developed their own system. They started releasing the captives if they did not wish to stay. Hence why people knew about vampires and started writing about them. It never posed a danger, because no one actually believed in them.

It was another shock to learn that drinking human blood was a misconception of his old master. She drank many victim's blood. It was true, as a vampire he craved blood, but an animal's blood sufficed. The only time they drank human blood would be to turn someone into a vampire if they wished. He also explained that if he chose to stay after a month, he still had to wait a year before they turned him into a vampire. It was a life changing choice, and he had no intentions of making someone a vampire unless they were certain.

The first night gone and passed. Barely a word was spoken between them all morning. William didn't seem to be much of a talker and Jason was still uneasy. He didn't want to screw everything up. He'd prefer to stay on the vampire's good side after all.

They came to a parlor in the mansion. There was another vampire lounging on the couch. Jason recognized him the night before, being the vampire that sulked in the corner. Apparently he had wanted the girl named Lydia. A woman vampire had beaten him to the chase. Maybe it was all for the better. Jason did not feel good vibes.

"Desmond," William spoke, pulling Jason out of his trance. "I have a favor to ask."

The vampire, Desmond, frowned at him as glared past his dark curls. "What?"

William crossed his arms. "I promised Barely I'd help him, but I don't want to drag him around the entire manor. Do you mind just sticking around until I get back? It won't be long." He nodded towards Jason.
