"Demigods have always fought for glory. They used to call it kleos. It's like this stuff that attaches itself to your name. Makes it bigger, scarier, more important." Luke explained, walking out with Percy. "People listen closer when you talk. They work harder to be your friend and they think twice about messing with you."

A girl shoved Percy's shoulder, sending him stumbling a bit backward. "Hey!" He called and the girl turned around.

Clarisse pushed Percy to the ground before getting pushed back by Luke. "Hey. Knock it off, Clarisse. It's like his first day, c'mon." He frowned.

"Wait, so this is the kid who killed the Minotaur. Is that right?" Clarisse asked, her face turning smug as if she was making fun of him for it.

"Yeah." Percy nodded.

"I'll bet. Look, you want attention around here, dummy? You better be ready for when it comes." Clarisse smirked before flinching at him. Percy backed away as Clarisse's friends started to laugh. The girl walked away with her posse of probably Ares kids behind her.

"Well, she seems nice," Percy said sarcastically.

"Ares kids. They come by it honestly." Luke explained vaguely.

"Why don't they mess with you?" Percy asked.

"They know better."

"Luke's the strongest swordsman at camp." A Hermes kid explained, "Well, second strongest."

"That's debatable. The closest we've ever gotten to was a tie which means we're on the same level." Luke smirked and Percy gave him a confused look. "Ah, well, let me show you."

Luke guided Percy over to a bench housing a few kids. They seemed to be playing cards. Luke pointed to a girl who had three beads threaded on her necklace. "That is Odyssa," Luke said and Percy frowned.

She had a small scar on her lip as well as hazel eyes. Her hair was dark with hints of reddish-brown tones. A small section of her hair was braided on the side, adorned with small golden spiral hair cuffs. It was pulled back in a loose bun at the back, with various strands and waves left free.

She was pretty and held herself in a way that seemed graceful. So he could only assume one thing. "Is she an Aphrodite kid?" Percy asked and Luke chuckled.

"Y'know, Annabeth said she thought the same thing when she saw her. But no. She's Cabin 8, Artemis." Luke said as they made their way to Odyssa. Percy frowned.

"Isn't Artemis-"

"It's complicated. Ever heard of Prometheus?" Luke asked and Percy slowly nodded as he thought back to the myth.

"Yeah... He made humans from mud and clay." Percy said.

"Well, in more simple terms, Odyssa was made from clay and after Artemis asked Zeus, he gave her life," Luke said, finally standing next to Odyssa.

"You talking about me behind my back again, Luke?" Odyssa asked, not looking up from her cards as she placed down a red uno reverse.

"New kid wanted to know a bit about you. Just telling him the facts."

As Percy got a better look, he spotted two silver bracelets on each of her wrists and a moon necklace. It made sense, her mom was Artemis after all.

Odyssa looked up to see Percy and the boy suddenly felt like he should cower under her gaze. She wasn't like Clarisse, intimidating and angry, but it was a sort of composure and calm that seemed to make her look better than everyone else. It was weird...

And it was like the whole intimidating fear disappeared when she smiled. "Nice to meet you, stranger." She said, "What's your name?"

"Percy." He managed to say with a small smile. At least some people here were friendly...
