The first thing Odyssa felt was sand. She spat out the finely-grained rocks and opened her blurry eyes to see a nice beach. It was calm, the wind blowing through her hair, and the smell of salt filled her nose. The ocean washed down the left side of her body, coating her clothes with water.

It was a change from the stressful events that happened in the Underworld. Hopefully, Percy and Grover were okay, she felt that Hades wouldn't take kindly to trespassers.

She groaned as she sat up from the sand and started to brush the fine grains from her body. Odyssa turned to find Annabeth starting to sit up as well. "Annabeth?" Odyssa called out her friend's name.

Annabeth turned and sighed with relief as she saw the auburn-haired girl. "Dessa." She breathed out, "Where are we?" Annabeth asked and Odyssa shakily stood.

"I... I dunno..." Odyssa looked around, "I think we're on a beach? The pearls must've taken us here... Maybe Poseidon was planning on meeting Percy here."

"Yeah, that's probably a good guess..." Annabeth said with a slight frown, "Hopefully they won't do anything stupid."

"Yeah," Odyssa nodded, still unsure and nervous about what would happen to Percy and Grover, "Do you think they'll be okay? That they'll arrive here?"

Annabeth nodded though she wasn't sure as well. After all, no one had traveled to the Underworld and made it out alive. "Yeah... They'll be fine."

"I'm just saying that pickles and peanut butter sound good," Odyssa said, picking at the edge of the music box in her bag. The paint was starting to peel and she couldn't help but pick at it.

Annabeth frowned, "That still sounds disgusting..." She said with a look of disgust. She turned her gaze from the water to see two figures lying down on the sand. "Hey... Is that..."

Odyssa widened her eyes, scrambling up from the sand as she ran to the two of them, Annabeth following behind her quickly as well. Annabeth helped Grover up from the ground as Odyssa helped Percy.

"You guys alright?" Odyssa asked, surveying the two of them for potential injuries.

"We're alright." Percy nodded before his gaze trailed behind her to see another figure walking towards them.

The four turned their attention to the familiar-looking man they had met earlier on their trip. Ares.

Percy walked up to him as he held up his sword, the amber light slightly glowing from the sunset. He stood in front of the three of them, pointing his sword at Ares. "Single combat!" He shouted.

Ares scoffed, "What?"

"What?!"

"One-on-one, but I set the terms. If I draw first blood, I keep the bolt and you surrender the helm." Percy said and Odyssa widened her eyes, turning to Annabeth.

So she was right. It wasn't Clarisse, it was her father. Of course... The only person he actually would cover for would be himself. Out of all the things the gods love the most, it's themselves...

Ares laughed, wheezing as he rested himself on his knees, pointing at Percy mockingly with a grin.

"Do you accept?" Percy asked.

"I mean it's your funeral, kid." Ares said, his smile fading and turned to an all-serious demeanor, "Although, just to be clear, no funeral. Any trace of you leaves a trace of my plan, and we can't have that."

"It wasn't your plan, though, was it?" Percy asked, "It was Kronos. It was his idea to frame Poseidon's kid and steal Hades's helm and Zeus's bolt to start a war."
