“Anak, don't forget the family dinner we have this coming Sunday, ha?” Napabuntong hininga ako sa sinabi ni Mommy.

“Yes Mom, you've been constantly reminding me that po. As if I forgot that we always have family dinner on Sunday's.” I heard her giggled on the other line.

“You know me anak, I would never get tired of reminding you everything. You're my youngest and you're the most vulnerable daughter I have.” Nahihimigan ko ang pag iba ng tono nito ng marinig ko ang huli niyang sinabi.

“Are you crying, Mom? Fine po... I won't stop you from reminding me about everything.” Bigla tuloy akong nakonsensya kaya napasandal ako sa couch.

Komportableng nakaupo ako sa couch dito sa loob ng office ni prof Carlton dahil ako ang pinapag check niya ng quiz ng ibang section na hawak niya. She's not here dahil nasa loob siya ng cr.

Malaya ko naman nakakausap si Mommy dahil lunch hours ngayon. Sabay na din kaming kumain ni prof dito sa loob ng office niya. One thing I observed, is she loves to eat alone.

At bilang isang mabuting student, sinasamahan ko siyang kumain. Hindi naman sa pagiging mapagsamantala, pero si prof Carlton na din kasi mismo ang nag aaya sa akin na kumain.

We are not close, we just got used to each other's presence. She doesn't talk when we're inside her office and I enjoyed that silenced. Parang naging tambayan ko na ang office niya eh since a month has passed.

And I think, maybe she appreciate my presence—a little though? I don't really know since we're not really talking to each other. Alam mo 'yon, we have the conversation but more on serious and academic talk.

“You're still there, Antonia, anak?” I came back to reality when I heard Mom's voice calling me.

Hindi ko pinansin ang tinawag nito sa akin 'cause my attention went to prof Carlton's. Nakasuot na ito ng white long sleeve habang nasa kamay nito ang beige niyang blazer.

My eyes can't help but to checked her out 'cause her looks are kinda different from earlier. I guessed, she retouched since her natural rose lips are glossy and kind of pump.

Napansin siguro niyang nakatingin ako napatingin ito sa akin. I don't know if I'm hallucinating 'cause I saw how her eyes inspect my whole face and until it stopped to my lips.

I suddenly have the urge to gulp and bit my lips when her eyes are still lingers at me when she reached to her desk.

“Mommy,” My eyes widened when I realized what came out of my mouth.

Nakita ko kung paano ako taasan ng kilay ni prof Carlton pero agad din ngumisi ng marinig nito ang sinabi ko. What the hell, Antonia Laurence Oliveira?!

“Yes, anak? What happened?” Mom's voice was full of concerned but my attention are still on prof Carlton.

She's now leaning her back to her swivel chair but her eyes are still remains to me. My breath hitched when she licked her lips after she let go of the straw in her drink.

What the hell? Inaakit niya ba ako?

“Anak, are you okay?” I knocked on my senses when I heard Mom's voice. I faked a cough and averted my eyes to prof Carlton.

I even heard her playful laughed that made me frowned so I look at her. Her eyes crinkling at the edges in genuine amusement and I suddenly heard a loud sound of my heartbeat doing a rapid sound. Na parang hinahabol ako sa sobrang bilis ng tunog na nanggagaling sa dibdib ko.
