'Joao will be leaving after this training, after the international break' pep announced, his voice bringing me away from daydreaming

'Joao do you want to give a final speech?' Pep gestured Joao to go in front

My eyes followed him as he walked to the front, we have a brief eye contact for a second, before he looks to the others

scared of the eye contact huh?

Jack and the others cheered for him for a bit before he signalled us to silent a bit

'hey guys um, it has really been a pleasure being in this team, representing the club and most importantly, playing with you guys'

'I've loved you guys and this place here ever since I have joined the club, but to be honest I haven't been feeling myself lately here. So I've decided I would go on a loan deal for the rest of the season to Bayern.'

'It has been an incredible journey, but I might have to leave for a while... maybe in the future, I might join back and have another fun game with you guys. Thank you for everything. Thank you' he said as he finish his speech, walking back to his seat while claps applauded him

and as the speech is done, our last training with him is also done.

I should feel happy, as the biggest dickhead is going to be gone, but for some reason, my heart kinda aches a bit, why? why am I being sad about him gone?

maybe it was because he was one of the first one, which helped me to adapt in the team? Maybe it was because we have always been good friends and joked about everything, and have so many good moment together?

I don't know. But I kinda don't want him to leave now.

'ay if you wanna come back some day during holiday or so we will be happy to see you!' I said as I hugged Joao

he just smiled and then others went to talk to him

'is rubes actually not coming to say goodbye' I nudged Bernardo

'I dont know...' he sighed

we looked over to Ruben, who is leaning on the wall looking over to us, alone

'he seems like he wants to come over' I said

'of course he wants to, but his thick ass ego is the one who's not letting him come here' 

As Joao is about to finish saying his final goodbyes and Ruben is still not moving, I decided to pull him over

'come on ruben you guys won't see each other until the next international break if you guys don't injure yourselves, just say a goodbye' I said to Ruben as I push him to in front of Joao

everybody stopped talking and gave them spaces

Rubén's Pov:

'sorry.'

we both said in unison

'sorry for putting my heart break into your departure and blaming you'

'sorry for mentioning your heartbreak'

'I don't know what was I thinking... sorry'

'it's not really that deep in some way haha'

'so friends?'

'bro yeah of course good friends!' He laughed

we laughed and hugged

it's joao's last day, hopefully him and Ruben can make up before he leaves

'Time for dinner' my mum knocked my door saying

'one sec one sec lemme finish this page' I said doing my Chinese exercise

'Okay okay come quick'

just as I was about to answer, my mum cuts in

'you know this stupid girl said she want to get top 10 before haha'

'I think I have a chance' I shrugged eating but looking down disappointedly

I think my dad could sense the awkward vibe being created so he shifted the topic to other things

'oh Kaitlyn did you say you are interested in guitar few weeks ago?'

'yes!!' I said excitedly

'my company recently got discount offers for buying guitars, let's go buy your guitar tomorrow' he smiled

'yessss!!! Thank you dad' I smiled

'what's your guitar for?' My mum asked

'ohh I want to see if I can use to create some songs or just sing some things I wanna sing' I said a bit nervous she will ban the idea

she just nodded and we kept eating
