Kaitlyn's Pov:

'buzzzzz... buzzzzzz....'

I got slowly pulled away from the dreamland as my phone starts buzzing continuously, signalling someone is calling me

'buzzzzz... buzzzzz...'

As my phone buzz I feel the bed buzz slightly together as well, as it's next to me on the bed, making me unable to stay asleep

i groaned before picking my phone up

'hello...?' my croaky voice said

'hey Kaitlyn!' a familiar voice said

I rubbed my eyes before checking the contacts name and seeing "Ruben🧱" on the screen

'rubes, hi'

'can you tell me why did you call me this early-?' I said tiredly as I watched the electric clock on my bedside table, showing '4:05'

'wait I thought you have school today?'

'yes I do, but I don't wake up till like 6 or something'

'wait ain't it six for you right now?'

'4:05 mate'

'oh shit I thought the time difference is a little less'

'no rubes 7 hours difference' I said as I yawned

'oh- um I was just bored and wanted to talk to you. Do you want to go back to sleep?'

'you know, might as well get up as you have woken me up'

'cool! so you know that time when Bernardo was...'

And I just hummed in agreement in stuff he said and reply with some stuff as I kind of tidy my messy room and get ready for school

He also mentioned how what happened in training and how Joao was being bastard, just like how Joao was saying Ruben was a dickhead last night

I talked with Joao tried to calm him down but with Ruben now?

It's too early for me to talk about these stuff

'hey' Ashley greeted me

'he...llo' I yawned

'woah are you okay? why do you seem more tired than usual' 

'rubes woke me up at 4 as he forgot about the time difference' I said

'fuckin' Ruben Dias again. Why didn't you just tell him it was 4 and go back to sleep?'

'I told him, he asked me if I want to go back to sleep but I just said n...o' I yawned again

She shook her head and sighed

'anyways how you feeling with the second test today'

'shit... SHIT!'

I forgot to study, or I'll say, too busy to study as I was calming Joao down...

'does that have to do with those two idiots?' she raised her eyebrows looking at me

'well um... Joao called me last night and talk about the same thing Ruben was complaining to me this morning... we talked till late, they are not in good terms right now...'

'Lets forget them for a moment and start catching up what you didn't study last night shall we?' she sighed taking her book out of her bag

I feel someone knock few times on my desk

'wake up and stop sleeping. I thought you are trying to get top 10?' My geography teacher  chuckled

she never liked me, she has hated me since day one. I have no idea why but I guess not everybody have to like you

the whole class all chuckled upon what she said

'yes, sorry miss' I sighed

she seemed shocked, as i think it's the first time I have never talked back to her after her nasty comments

I would have talked back to her, if my head isn't thinking about two guys arguing again and isn't so tired

'so... how did your test go?' Ashley asked me when lunch break started

'um, I don't know to be honest, I just I don't know...' I replied simply as I zoned off again, tired

she just sighed and start eating her lunch next to me, silently

As we are on the school bus, while I'm listening to music about to doze off to sleep, I feel a tap from my shoulder

'can I borrow your phone? I need it for something' Ashley asked

'sure, you know that passcode' I hand her my phone

Bernardo: you know what, I'm tired of being stuck in the middle, you two need to man up and talk, stop being like a 5 year old

Jack: I agree man, this is not helping the team as well

Rodri: I don't know if you two saw but because of you guys, the academies are scared as hell that day

Joao: but I don't see me being a problem here? I literally did nothing wrong really, I just broke the news later than expected?

Ruben: whatever you say dickhead.

Kaitlyn: you two honestly need to stop. Do you know how much you guys are affecting Kaitlyn!?
My best friend kept zoning off in school today and it's affecting her physically, mentally and academically!

Ruben: who the fuck are you bro how have we affected her, ridiculous shit whoever you are

Ilkay: Ruben! That's obviously not kaitlyn! Stop being rude

Erling: I'm pretty sure I think I know who that is

Jack: Hey Ashley

Kaitlyn: hey Jack
Kaitlyn: listen up here you two selfish idiots. I don't care if you two are rich footballers. But if you or any of you affect my best friend in any way bad, I'll kill you.

Bernardo: what the hell did you two do!????

Ruben: I just called her in the morning for her

Joao: I called her at night in her time zone...

Kaitlyn: you lot didn't JUST CALL HER, one called her at fucking 4am, one called her till late, how many hours of sleep do you think she got?

Ilkay: you two.

Joao: I am sorry
Joao: I don't know Ruben would also call her in the morning

Phil: Ashley what happened in school today

Kaitlyn: she didn't reply a nasty comment like usual to our geography teacher, who hated her for no reason since the start. We have a test today and because of you guys she forgot and was too tired to study! I swear to god if she failed her test or got a low mark you two are definitely taking all the blame.
Kaitlyn: oh did I mention because of you two, her mind was all about this and couldn't focus on lessons?

Ilkay: okay you two, we are having a talk later.

Erling: is she ok now?

Julian: she mentioned how she is aiming for top 10 this time...
Julian: even tho I don't know why so suddenly she want to aim that high cuz she wasn't that serious about the ranks before

Kaitlyn: she is sleeping on the bus rn

Ruben: but she didn't say anything about it bothering her right? then it's fine?

Bernardo: Ruben. How have you become like this? You are like a complete different person after that day. You are not the Ruben Dias I know.

Ruben: people can change you know. Why does what I have become bother you? Who cares bro

John: this ain't the Ruben I know...
