Me and Raven were currently in the laboratory looking at the monitor, seeing all the other kids party. I walked over to Raven seeing that she was looking at the monitors with her arms crossed.

"You know, it wasn't so long ago you were throwing parties with the other kids." I said as I walked up next to her.

"Now I'm getting more mature." She said.

"Yeah. The first class is getting old." I said with a smile.

"I've been thinking. Maybe it's time for us to... move on." She told me.

I looked at her surprised. Move on ? I just got here last month, and I've known the Professor for years.

"What do you— Move on where?" I asked her.

"I don't know. It's just Charles." Raven said.

"Whatever is going on between you two, it will blow over." I said trying to reassure her that it would be okay.

"No, it won't. I love him but he's different. Everything is... it's different now." She said and I nodded at her.

"Yeah. We're trying to change the world so we could live in it." I said to her.

"Yeah, but maybe that's what we should go do." Raven suggested.

"Yeah, but this is our life. This is what we wanted." I said to her.

"Not like this." She denied.

"Raven..." I was about to talk but she cut me off.

"It's not our life, Hank. It's his. What do you think the "X" in X-Men stands for?" She asked me.

"If I recall correctly, you were the one who came up with the name and said that the X stands for the X-Gene. Listen, there's an old saying. Just because someone stumbles and loses their way doesn't mean they're lost forever. Sometimes we all need a little help. Charles is stumbling and losing his way but he'll get it together." I said in Charles' defense.

Then suddenly we heard beeping on the monitor and looked at it.

"It's Jean." Raven said.

We saw that her heat signature was rising and we rushed out of the laboratory through the hallway. Once got to the hallway, the doors opened and the wind blew at us causing us to halt in our movement. We got everything settled and the kids were back in the rooms and waited until Charles got home. Once we got home, we were in Jean's room while she was unconscious. Charles was currently trying to look in her mind, then he suddenly looked up.

"What is it? What do you see?" I asked him.

"Nothing." Charles said.

We left Jean's room and went downstairs to Cerebro.

"Her mutation has grown too powerful. For the first time, I can't penetrate her mind." Charles said.

"So that's what we're doing down here?" Raven asked him.

"Tatum built Cerebro to amplify my power. I think that's the only way I'm going to get inside her head now." Charles explained.

He put on the helmet and the room began getting dark. We saw all the red lights.

"Tatum, could you turn it up, please?" Charles asked me. I leaned over and started pressing buttons.

"A little more. Thank you." Charles said. I continued pressing buttons.

"There she is." Charles said going to the light where Jean was.

He began looking through her mind and we all saw the memories of Jean's parents.
