It was like a poker game.

I stood there watching Remy, and both Remy and Joseph stood there watching me.

I was pissed off.

Remy's attitude was upsetting me. And being around Joseph felt... weird. But, I had been expecting for him to ignore me, so a part of me was happy that he wasn't acting any different despite what had happened between us. But then another part of me was disappointed that he was carrying on as normal.

I wanted some sort of emotion from him.

It was same way he acted normal after we had that moment in his kitchen two nights ago; I just wanted to know that he cared. I wanted things to be awkward. I wanted him to avoid my gaze.

I wanted too much.

Zay was feeling heavier by the minute in his car seat and I was slowly losing patience at the mind games that these guys were throwing at me with this deadly silence. Upon realising that things weren't okay, Joseph turned to look at Remy. I saw his eyes lower slightly, taking in Remy's toplessness.

"What's going on?" He grumbled, turning back to me with a new crease between his brows.

I lowered my gaze and stared at Samantha's welcome rug. "Ask your friend." I found myself saying.

I stole a glance at Remy to see him frowning at me, hands buried deep in his pockets. His expression spoke volumes to me. "Bedroom," he simply said, nodding his head over to Samantha's room down the hall.

He was gesturing to the both of us.

I really didn't want to go back in there, but I was interested to hear what he had to say now that Joseph was present. One thing that I had learnt about Remy was that he never held his tongue. I wondered if he was going to give Joseph the same treatment that he had just given me.

He led the way, walking past the both of us. I reluctantly followed suit, sensing Joseph close behind me. I wondered what he was thinking, and whether he was going to admit to the kiss or not.

As soon as we reached the bedroom, it was part two of the hallway - each of us just staring at each other. I placed Zay down by my feet, seeing that he had fallen asleep.

"Well?" Joseph broke the silence. The impatience and irritation was very evident in his deep tone.

Not one to beat around the bush, Remy came out and said his piece. "What's going on with you lot?"

Aware that he was no longer looking at me but now at Remy, my eyes cast upwards to observe Joseph's facial expression. It was just as confused as I thought it would be.

"What?" he asked, his face screwed up.

Remy kept his expression the same. Since I had known Remy from secondary school, I'd learnt to understand his stubbornness. If he was annoyed or didn't like something you had done, you would soon know about it - whether it was passive aggressively or direct from his mouth. For some reason, the thought of me and Joseph getting along - or more, bothered him.

I wouldn't have minded so much if I just understood why.

Was there something that I didn't know about Joseph, and Remy was just protecting me? Or was it deeper than that?

"You heard me."

"Remy, chill." I spoke up sensing an unnecessary fight brewing.

"Nah," Joseph interrupted, amusement dancing on his lips as he watched Remy intently. I sighed, knowing that Remy wouldn't like that. "Let him continue."
