"Kashish tera dimaag kharab hai?" Mahira's voice rang through the kitchen at 11 in the morning, as she stood facing her best friend, now dusted head to toe in flour.

"Shut it Mahi, it was a mere accident!" Kashish spoke with a nonchalant tone, shaking her head to dislodge the flour, only for it to puff into the air and make them both cough.

"You know what? Ditching my hangout with Raghav and agreeing to help you was the biggest mistake I made today!" The former shouted, trying to get the flour off of herself.

Kashish blew a puff of flour off her hand and gave Mahira a defiant look as soon as she heard the guy's name from her best friend's mouth, refusing to budge from her spot on the kitchen counter. Mahira pinched the bridge of her nose, muttering, "I should've known better than to trust you with flour."

"Oh, relax, Mahi. It was just a minor mishap." Kashish said, stretching her legs out as if she had every right to be lounging around.

"Minor? You look like a ghost from a bad baking show." Mahira replied, rolling her eyes and resuming her attempt to salvage what was left of their baking project. She was about to shoo Kashish out again when Rohit walked in, looking worn out as if he had just  been woken up forcefully, stopping short as he took in the scene: Mahira looking frazzled, and Kashish looking like she'd rolled in a flour sack.

"Kashu" he began, trying to hold back laughter, "Are you auditioning for some kind of kitchen horror movie?"

Kashish stuck her tongue out. "I'm here for moral support." she declared, crossing her legs and refusing to move.

"Why did you even agree to help her knowing she's gonna mess half of the recipe up? Your fault Mahi!" Rohit gave Mahira an exasperated look.

Mahira deadpanned, rolling her eyes. "True that. I shouldn't have come here." she muttered, sifting the flour with a dramatic sigh. "My only mistake today was agreeing to help her."

Rohit chuckled and shook his head. "Well, don't worry, I'm sure you'll manage. By the way, is Mr. Kohli, gracing us with his presence today or not?"

Mahira rolled her eyes. "Honestly, no idea. Knowing him, he's been acting so weird lately, like he's on some 'secret mission.'"

Rohit pulled out his phone with a grin. "Guess I'll call the great Kohli himself." He dialed Virat, who answered after a few rings, sounding suspiciously excited.

"Where are you, yaar?" Rohit asked, not even bothering to greet him. "Are you actually coming, or did you get sidetracked?"

"I'm almost there, bhai! Just had to grab some maal for my plan," Virat replied, his tone dripping with mischief.

Rohit frowned, glancing at Mahira, who raised her brows. "Maal? What kind of shit are you up to now?"

Before Virat could answer, the doorbell rang. Rohit tucked his phone away and went to open the door. The sight that greeted him made him burst out laughing.
