I keep waiting for a hoard of the tower's employees to barge into this room, but nothing has happened. What's going on?

The awkward situation seems to have finally concerned Vox. "Where the fuck is everyone?" I hear him mutter.

"They're not coming." Alastor calmly states as he stands confidently and pats down his jacket. It's like he's trying to get any dirt and dust off his outfit.

I doubt Alastor expected both Vox and I to give him the same confused look at the same time. What did he do?

"I've learned a lot about this tower and its inner workings over the past few weeks. All thanks to (y/n)." Alastor begins, looking over at the paralyzed Velvette. At first, she just looks confused, but that quickly changes to anger.

"Your love potions sure do pack a punch. I'm sure that's exactly what you want them to do. That's why demons will do whatever they need to in order to get their hands on one of those pink bottles." Alastor casually moves his glance from Velvette to his own hand, like it's more amusing. "It's so effective that it can be put into any drink. This includes water coolers, a kind but anonymous coffee delivery to a busy tower of busy bees, and so much more." Alastor laughs.

The realization finally hits Vox. He stops the hypnotic broadcast and switches one of the cameras to one that's on a lower floor of the tower.

The camera displays employees of the V's tower in many different suggestive acts. Either with other employees or by themselves, but too distracted to answer Vox's hypnotic call. I know I shouldn't find this funny. It's not a great time when you're unwillingly put in a situation like this. But to see an entire work floor in such devious acts is a little comical.

"How did you even get one of those potions?!" Vox asks, annoyed.

Alastor waves his finger at Vox. "I'm not done." Alastor confidently states before looking over at the still restrained Valentino.

"I notice you have an agreement with the King of Lust, Asmodeus. Your films can be displayed not only to the Pride ring, but to other rings of Hell as well." Alastor slowly walks over to Valentino. Once he's in front of the moth overlord, he kneels down to be closer. "There's an interesting but important statement in your agreement. Did you know Asmodeus is strictly against artificial love potions? Just like Velvette makes?" Alastor shrugs. "I'd be a shame if he were to find out that over half of your films were produced and then distributed to other rings under the influence of her love potions. What would that do to the profits of this tower?" Alastor stands back up, hands behind his back. "Not like I can go to the Lust ring and tell him myself. But I have been told that Asmodeus is a big fan of my radio show. I'm sure I could come up with a segment that had to do with authenticity." He narrows his eyes at Valentino.

So, this is the leverage he wanted over the V's using the items I gathered weeks ago. Interesting.

"What do you want, Alastor?" Vox asks through gritted teeth. He knows Alastor would follow through with his threat. Vox still hasn't taken down the electric barrier between Alastor and I, but he also hasn't made any other moves since.

Alastor moves his focus back over to Vox. "I want full control and access to all social media in Hell." I knew Vox and the other two V's would be surprised. But honestly, his request throws me off as well. I thought Alastor wanted more. I thought he wanted the tower and everything in it. "It's up to Velvette how she wants to give that control over." Alastor moves his eyes back over to the paralyzed girl. "Willingly with a deal. Or dead." He laughs as he tilts his head.

"No!" Velvette yells, obviously against the idea.

"Fine." Vox says shortly after. He gave up surprisingly easily. He must know Alastor isn't lying.

"Vox!" Velvette yells angrily at her colleague. "What the fuck! No!" She argues with him.

"Velvette... just..." Vox sighs, like he's not sure what to say.

"It's a simple deal." Alastor interrupts. "I let Velvette live. In exchange, she does as I request with Hell's social media." He opens his hands and shrugs like it's not a big deal. He focuses on Velvette, his eyes glowing an eerie red. "Your choice."

There are a few seconds of silence from Velvette. She slowly starts moving her fingers and carefully lifts her upper body up with her uninjured hand, now sitting more comfortably. She still seems a bit unstable from the paralysis but is slowly coming out of it.

Velvette looks back over to Vox, who simply nods at her. "Fine." Velvette says in a defeated tone.

Vox finally removes the electrical barrier. Once the barrier is removed Alastor walks over to a still vulnerable Velvette and puts his glowing green hand out, which she shakes, ensuring the deal is in place.

I still feel uneasy. What's to stop Vox from following us and attacking us when we leave?

"Oh, and Vox." Alastor grabs Vox's attention yet again. Alastor doesn't turn around, but Vox knows he's speaking to him. "Your drones can be reprogrammed, you know." He states. So that's what he wanted the drone for.

"It took me some time to figure out the ridiculous technology, but with a little bit of practice I can ensure two things with your flying contraptions." Alastor holds up one finger. "None of your little spies can spot me or (y/n), even if we're right in front of them. As far as your system is concerned, we're invisible." Alastor holds up a second finger. "Your drones are set to track you, follow you, and explode on impact if you leave this tower." Finally, Alastor turns his head to show his grin to Vox. "I suggest you stay inside, my friend." He says to the angry glitching TV demon.

"Let's go home, (y/n)." Alastor states confidently as he begins walking away, not a worry in his head about the three of them even trying to attack us.

"Hold on." I walk over to a still restrained Valentino. Alastor stops in his tracks and watches my movements, curious about what my plan is. There's one more thing I want.

"I'm not through with you." I glare at the moth demon, stopping in front of him with my hands on my hips and tail swaying. "I want Angel's contract." I can see that Valentino is going to protest, so I interrupt him before he gets the chance. "I get Angel's contract, or I'll be a guest host on Alastor's radio show and tell Asmodeus myself. Then your whole operation comes crumbling down." I can see the wheels in his head turning. He's not very happy. "What are you more willing to lose? One employee, or your whole tower?" I ask him.

I kneel down and hold my glowing blue hand out. "Angel's contract. In return, your breach of contract with Asmodeus is a secret I am willing to keep." I clearly state. I've never made a deal of this caliber before.

I don't miss the angry glare I get from Valentino. Alastor loosens his restraint just enough for him to pull one arm out and shake hands with me. I didn't know I would get a tangible contract, but once the deal is made, I can see the paperwork in front of me. Valentino's name is crossed off and replaced with mine.

I stand back up and keep my eyes on Valentino. "Now we can go." I tell Alastor confidently.
