Hello my lovelies! I hope you liked the first chapter. I have recently reworked it if you didn't know and I'm rather happy with how it came out. So without further ado the second chapter...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was glad that the school day was finally over. I didn't think I could stand being around anyone else much longer.
Everyone always talks far too much on the first day back at school. I will testify to that because even I, a little miss of few words, have talked more than my quota for the day.
I was waiting in my car for Lara to appear out of school. I had the drivers side window down fully and rested my arm against it. My fingers were tapping on the outside of the car along to the beat of the music.
I normally drive her home as I can drop her off on my way to my house. I would be seeing her later at the dance studio. This lesson was so that we could prepare the The senior company would all be present so that the prep for the winter showcase could begin.
Madame Harthill plans everything down to the tiniest detail. Every time we rehearse new moves we have to repeat them over and over until they're spot on. It can get pretty tiring especially when we have the occasional four hour final rehearsal before competitions.
Although i'm not one to complain. The way I see it is that everything eventually has an end and you just have to hang on long enough until you reach the finish line. I always strive to do the best I possibly can in everything I do; as my dad reminds me 'there's always room for improvement'.
So at this stage in my life I have decided to try and stick by it. I don't know how long that will last, to be honest.
I started humming along to the lyrics of the song. I was listening to a mix of songs from Sia. 'Breathe me' was currently playing and it reminded me of one of the routines I had performed with that song as the backing music.
My eyes were trained on the main entrance watching for any signs of Lara. She had a tendency to get caught up talking to people as she was leaving. One time she had me waiting for half an hour before she appeared. I have since grown use to her tardiness.
Seeing students still filtering out the doors was interesting to watch. I always wonder what keeps them behind. for example, they could have had to ask their teacher for extra help on a project. or they had other pressing matters, like getting a detention or even ditching detention after the teacher has left. or the were saying an extremely long goodbye to their friends -boy and girls friends- in every sense of the word; if you catch my drift.
I looked around the car park and noticed that there were few cars left now. I didn't recognise many, except from Will's pickup truck. I could recognise that rusty dinosaur anywhere.
If his truck was still here then that meant that Tyler was still about somewhere. And at that moment I wasn't sure if I wanted home to be.
I already had more than my daily dose of hot eye candy plus conversation. I didn't know how much I could handle before I iced over like Alaska in winter.
What I witnessed after that almost made my eyes shoot out of my skull. Walking out of the doors was Lara but she wasn't alone. She was the filling to delicious looking Tyler and Will sandwich.
I was watching as she conversed with Will. She's told me time and time again that she has a crush on him. But everyone knows that the boy is a serious player among the ladies.
She looked cool and collected talking to him. I had no doubt that on the inside she'd be doing pirouettes and arabesques for the hell of it. She always coped well under pressure, she somehow mastered the technique while learning ballet.
