(Short chapter alert)
Q Division: It's where the UK's top cyber security experts, inventors, and computer programmers collaborate to help MI6 stay on top of things in regard to technology. I made history being the youngest to be appointed to help with all three sectors, at the age of 28. I really don't like being the center of attention. Everyone within Q Division, let alone MI6 were talking about me. "The prodigy" as they liked to refer to me.
Of course, I had to go through yet another round of orientation. Then I received my ID badge and was on my way. "Was working at the government really a good idea?!" I often thought to myself while biting my lip. I was nervous. Really nervous.
But when I entered the designated area where Q Division works, I felt a little at ease. Immediately people greeted me and shook hands. Then I met the quartermaster who came before me. Obviously, I am forbidden to share what his real name was. He was an older man, probably around his late fifties. He invited me into his office and started a conversation with me.
"I can see you've been making quite a bunch of waves recently." He said with a chuckle. At first, I did not answer because I was feeling embarrassed. But then I nodded my head in agreement. "I can see why they chose you. You're fairly young, highly intelligent and already have lots of experience". "I'm surprised you still have spots." I nodded my head in agreement again. I finally let out: "Yes sir, I am aware." After a few awkward moments he shut the door and gave me a classified briefing.
After the briefing was over, I got to work. And then I thought to myself: "Maybe I actually belong here."
