---2 Hours Later---
---Matthew/Jacksonville Point Of View---
Bouncing atop the waters, spinning through the air, missiles thunder across the surface, and hone in, taking many different paths of which all led to one. Taking control of my tumble! I reach out, catching my hand in the waters, stopping my spin midair! Using the drag I created with this hand, I manipulate my guns, pointing down range! The crackle of my own guns leaves my ears ringing loud! I can't hear the world over the concussion of the blasts. It disorients me briefly! My guns thunder across the skies, and explode around the path of missiles, others plunge into the water and catch the missiles via shrapnel or pillows of water! They explode and lose course. Except for one. It maneuvers through the chaos and hate! Finding me, piercing my shoulder, it takes a large chunk of flesh with it, over pen, it thunders out of me and explodes a few hundred feet beyond! Landing atop a knee, I slide to a stop! Reaching and grabbing my shoulder, I scream out in agony, sanity hangs on a thread!
"WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS!?! WHAT DID WE DO TO ANGER YOU! ANSWER ME!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!!!!" I shout in terror at the woman in the fog. Covering the area with smoke and ash. Laughter and then bliss escapes from her before she entertains my demands. "Humans, they all play like broken records, spouting the same questions. But I'll humor you. I'm seeking information. Information on just how to escape this eternal torment you humans call a video game. I seek the world you all came, and I seek to destroy those whom trapped me in this eternal hell. Getting this information has been fruitless thus far. But I know if I remain persistent. I'll succeed. I always do. So, for your sake, I do hope you have more information to give me, then your friends here. Or... Well-"
The shadows of a body moving through the fog and smoke, fall and roll before my feet. Blown apart at the chest, dismembered arms and legs. This mutilated face of the last policemen. Coming to a slow rolled stop. Face up. I collapse atop my other knee, bringing a hand up to my mouth, as my pupils dilate and change size, my face shows that I'm about to both burst into tears but also puke at the sight. "Don't get to invested in their death. I did them a favor by taking them out of this eternal hell. Believe me, they're in a far better place than we are. Now. Onto more pressing matters. What information do you have for me about getting out of this pla-" Interrupting her, as my pupils began to shutter about, representing my sanity beginning to sway. One by one, we we're hunted down, tracked and killed by these monsters! Led here, in the belief that salvation, or others were to rescue us. Only to be ambushed, split up, and to lose are wings, and have ourselves slaughtered. I'm all that remains... And I can see it now. If Cole, If Karolin, if anyone, ended up here. Then they are long dead now. I will join them soon. But not without a fight.
Tears begin to race down my face, as I stood onto my feet, taking my hand away, swatting at the wind, I splash blood from my palm across the waters! I scream out with anger and pain at the smoke. At her. I demand of her; I had to know. I had to have clarity before I joined them. I had to... know. "YOU KILLED THEM DIDN'T YOU! Karolin, Cole! Their parents! YOU KILLED THEM ALL DIDN'T YOU! TELL ME! I HAVE TO KNOW!!!" Silence befalls, and only the darkness of sun becoming blocked out by storm clouds above befalls us. Before the smoke and fog began to roll away from the introduction of a gust of strong winds, and the rain beginning to drizzle from the skies. For the first time I lay eyes onto the woman, and her army whom stalked us through so many sleepless nights. With yellow glowing eyes, she stared on at me without amusement.
My eyes show the surprise, as I let out a tsk of shock, along with this exhale. Amongst those in the convoy, Ranke, Cole's father, seemingly lifeless, arms gone. But the condensation coming visually off each exhale tells me he's breathing, he's still alive, swinging by a razer bladed rope, next to him, a woman, Cole's mother, pierced via the chest on a pike hanging above him. Dead. Lifeless. No arms, no legs, no head. What... purpose, is there to keeping a lifeless corpse around in such a barbaric fashion... Eyes shake greater than ever before, as I tremble and shook inside my shoes. Terrified, scared to meet the end of the road. Then she raised her guns, and everyone aimed down range unto me. "You'll be joining them soon, unless you have some useful information for me. Understand?" She avoids the question entirely. Her silence, and the visual sight of his parents in such a state told me all I had to know.
