At Union academy, everyone is seen doing their usual; Sona is seen standing by the front gate leading to the academy. She looks and sees Danny walking forward, with Tomoe and Mio walking behind him. Both Tomoe and Mio are wearing new clothes.
Mio wears her usual black and red kimono but with modifications. She now wears black shoes instead of her usual white shoes and the kimono is fully covered. Her white frills got removed and it now consists of two spider-webs on her left arm and her legs. She also wears her default black lace gloves throughout the series as her accessory.

Danny explained what happened to Sona, who nodded her head in understanding. Before anyone could speak, the academy is attacked; the four looked up and see a undead lich. The lich has the appearance of an undead skeleton wearing a black robe with golden embroidery drawn around it made with magic. He uses a pitch black rod that can transform into a giant scythe that makes him look like a Death Reaper. The rod can also transform into Ascalon. He doesn't have eyeballs, instead he has red lights glowing in his eye sockets.
