Last Days at Brookville High

June 3rd,

Diary, I haven't really had the time to write daily events in here because of how busy I got. Apart from getting ready for my final exams, I also had to help auntie Isabella at her store after the school's closing hours. Her husband lost his job recently and it was a very sad period. So, we all had to volunteer to work at Auntie Bella's Store to help gather more money for the family. After all, we had all become one big family.

Carl already worked as a waiter in an expensive restaurant so things weren't so bad. Still, most times when I get home, I just collapse on my bed and fall asleep until the next morning.

So, I just want to say that I've finished my final exams....well, Tony, Carl, Jamie, Cassie and I have. Lissa and Ray weren't in the same grade as we.

Squeals!

As happy as I am, I still have this nostalgic feeling about getting into the real world- like my auntie Bella would say. But the excitement and anticipation for the future's there too. And we've already taken our entrance examinations into the colleges of our choice! We're just waiting for the results.

Today is my last day in Brookville High, and it's as busy as ever! Since our graduation ceremony is fast approaching, I definitely expected that. So many people were having rehearsals for the big day and they were just all over the place.

So today, we just signed year books, received awards and we had a little 'goodbye' party with some of our teachers and friends- It was beautiful.

I got a few awards for being the best overall student and being well behaved but Tony got a lot! I had no idea he was this appreciated!

Well, I'm not jealous I'm just surprised and also happy for him. But I wouldn't say that to him because he spent the rest of the evening, rubbing it in my face- literally. A few of us reflected on our past experiences in Brookville High and we went to our favorite spots in the school. I said goodbye to the school garden, Cassie said her good-byes to the library...

Laughs...yeah she did!

Tony said goodbye to the basketball court and the cafeteria...yeah it was wierd but also emotional. Then something unexpected happened.

Cassie, Tony and I were all walking towards the school garden, as we just left the football's bleachers and Samantha walked up to us. Cassie was just about to turn to the other side to leave when Sam reached out and held her hand.

"P-please...don't go. I regret everything ever did to you, your mum and your brother....it's been haunting me Cass- your good behavior, countering my ugly one has been haunting me and I just can't continue living like this. I can't. Please, forgive me-" she said.

"And?" Cassie asked coldly as Sam took a deep breath and exhaled.

"I'm sorry. I really am." She said, looking up for the first time. I noticed her eyes were teary. Cassie pulled her into a hug as Tony and I bomb-fisted.

"What happened?" Cassie asked, releasing her from the hug as we sat on the field.

"So you know how the juniors are all asking the seniors to sign on their books? Well, no one asked me to and they all turned against me, including my friends. They all told me how they hated and despised me and how they wanted to get back at me. They all threw their books, food and stuff at me. I had to run for my life. I just came from the wash room that's why I'm not so messy. Besides, I've been thinking of how unfair I've been to you and your words that day struck me. ABBA's wrath?" She asked as Cassie sent me a knowing smile and I winked at her.

I hope you're all doing well?

I know it might sound funny that I skipped two months😥🤧🤧but you'll get the point soon😉

What were your last days at High school like?

Well, look how it turned out for Samantha....serves her right huh?🤧😂

We shouldn't laugh at her tho; let's just be happy that she came to her senses and asked for forgiveness. That what 'heaping burning coals' can do.😉👍

Ciao!👋😁😊
