June 8th,I woke up feeling a bit dizzy as my eyes, tried to adjust to the flashlight that was being shone on my face.
"T-Tony? An-" I wanted to scream as she quickly covered my mouth. She then pulled me in for a hug as I patted her back awkwardly.
"Good, you're awake now." She said, patting my shoulder fondly as I stared at her blankly. I looked around the dirty, dark and smelly environment we were and realized that it was a demolished shop.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"What were you guys thinking, entering a shop that surprisingly wasn't demolished alongside the rest?" She asked, her face alarmed.
"We just needed some supplies. We couldn't get it elsewhere." I said, rubbing my arm.
"Well, don't you think that it strange for them to leave only one shop untouched? It was a trap!" She said.
"Trap? But how?" I asked, genuinely confused.
"I've been hiding for two days now, ever since I returned to Ravenshire Island, everywhere was a mess. I tried calling y'all but you weren't answering. I became worried because I heard of the destruction on the news, back in Groundane so I had to come back. I couldn't risk losing you guys. I've been searching for you ever since and thank God, I've found you. I saw two people entering the only store that was still standing and I became curious because I knew danger was looming already. Kyros knew that the people who haven't been captured or killed have either fled the island or are still hiding so he deliberately left that store because he knew that sooner or later, they'll need supplies to survive and when they come out, they'll be captured. They use CCTV cameras to check who goes in and then they strike. They've already stationed some men that'll capture you guys when you come out. So I had to grab you guys quickly to hide."
"But y-you could've just let us know you were the one" I said as she smiled.
"I know you Sandy, you would've screamed if you saw me. I had no other option." She said, standing.
"I think we should start going, Ray and Lissa would be so worried." Tony said as I nodded and stood up.
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤"Sis I'm so glad you made it back unhurt. There's so much danger out there." Lissa said, clinging onto her sister's arm as Anaia chuckled.
"Were you able to get any supplies?" Ray asked after I had just finished narrating what happened.
"Yeah I was." I said, bringing out some snacks, toiletries, energy bars, sandwiches and other essentials.
"Thanks San, Tony." Lissa said, munching on a cookie.
"What do we do guys? We can't stay here forever. Sooner or later, Kyros is gonna find us-" Ray said.
"Ray be positive! Don't confess negativity." Lissa said.
"But he's right. We have to ask God for directions on what to do next because we can't stay here for too long. I also heard Danielle's involved in this too..." Anaia said as we nodded solemnly.
"That makes it more dangerous. Every next move we make must be gotten from the direction God gives us. We cannot afford to be captured by Kyros. I believe we're here for a reason..." Anaia said.
"And that is to defeat Kyros and his cult."Tony said.
"But how? He has so many people on his side. So many gadgets to his possession...even powers too." Lissa complained.
"But we have a greater power in Christ Jesus, a heavenly backing and guess what? " I asked as she nodded for me to continue.
"We are more than conquerors. Our victory is secure so we fight against the powers of darkness, fearing nothing and knowing that we would never fall as long as we stand on the rock of ages, Jesus Christ our Lord." I said.
♤♤♤♤♤♤Now that's more like it!
They're getting prepared for battle. Preparing their minds and hearts is the very first step to take.
Y'all put them in your prayers, would ya?
