TWENTY NINE

Once the group entered the kitchen, Lily asked one of the elves for Mint.

An elf with socks on her ears came out with an apron. " Mint is happy to see Lily. What can Mint get you?"

Lily smiled. "Mint, I have to ask you about the Eyed's estates," the group saw the small elf stiffened. " Do you know what estate that is capable of withholding someone tracking them?"

Mint gripped her ear fearfully."Mint can't say. Mint can't expose the Eyeds."

Lily looked at the group, who were frustrated. "Mint, please, you can be saving someone's life, please."

Mint hesitantly let go of her ears cover. "Mint knows of the dark house. Mint was locked there."

"Tell us, elf," James demanded with anger.

Mint flinched before hiding behind Lily.
"Don't yell at Mint."

Lily glared at James. "That's not going to help, James. " She turned around to look at Mint. "Take us there, please."

Mint looked at the large group. "Mint is not strong enough to take everyone."

"I'm going," James instantly offered.

Lily Evans bit the inside of her lips. She was jealous of Riley. Lily knew that James did not love her, but Lily had fallen hard for him.

"I'm going too!" Winters stated. "I have too."

So, the decision ended with Winters, Remus, and James going with Mint.

Lily grabbed ahold of James. "Be safe, james."

Jame smiled. "Of course."

He didn't kiss her to reassure her. Lily heard broke as she saw Remus kiss Sirius. That was real love. Lily watched James disappear with Remus and Winters.

"Lily?" Marlene was in front of her. "You okay?"

Lily blinked. "Yeah, just worried."

Sirius squeezed her shoulder. "Everything is going to be alright, redhead."

Lily gave a half smile.

"I'm going with Frank. He is going to be worried about me missing class, and I will give the professor an excuse for you guys," Alice hugged Lily and Marlene. "Tell me how everything goes."

The four watched as Alice left the kitchen. Lily and Marlene sat together as they waited. Sirius paced around the kitchen, and Peter anxiously watched the clock tic away.

The group of four landed in front of an old hunting manor. A black gate was in front of them with overgrown vines.

"This is creepy," Sofia muttered as the gate creaked when mint pushed.

Mint grabbed her socks with a tremble. Remus looked back and around. They leave crunching as they move upward towards the hunting manor.

"Mint, why did the Eyed's move?"James asked as he saw the overgrown garden.

"Mint's master second wife died," Mint answered nervously. "The twins didn't want to stay."

The small elf signal them to follow her through the back. Sofia and Mint walked ahead.

Remus tapped James. "What if Winter's working with them?"

James looked at Sofia, walking ahead with her wand. "I think she's good, moony."

"Mint opened the back door!"
