A A V Y A
The worst nightmare finally showed up. But I never expected to meet with this fate at my accidental best friend's wedding. At first, the door lock of my room got broken after Jhanvi’s annoying cousins bumped into it. I am not a fan of changing in the bathroom, when I am at home—I change in my wardrobe or in my room, but I couldn't do that here so I decided to take a bath and change in the bathroom itself but then out of nowhere another kid stormed into my room and said he’ll use the washroom.
Fine by me, but the problems didn't stop here. I asked Jhanvi if I could shower in her bathroom and she agreed to it, but the moment I was ready to wash the shampoo off my hair, the shower suddenly stopped working.
I waited there for five minutes, but the water didn't come back so at least I managed to wear the bathrobe and stepped outside. The shampoo had already gone in my eyes, making it difficult for me to see anything, so I closed my eyes and decided to seek help from Jhanvi.
“Jhanvi,” I cried trying to open my eyes but the moment it burns, I close them shut. “Jhanvi please, it's burning my eyes. Do you have water in the jug? At least help me wash my eyes.” She doesn't respond to my words, but I do hear footsteps in the room.
She gripped my upper arm as we walked towards the bathroom before she splashed some water on my face. I slowly opened my eyes, but the shampoo doesn't do show any mercy to me. “More, give me more water.” I almost yelled losing my patience and just I decided to rub my eyes a grip on my hands made me pause. For a second, his thumb brushed on my pulse.
The touch— “Who…are you? You aren't…Jhanvi.” Despite the racing of my heart and feeling the familiar feeling, I throw my question at the man who is helping me.
He doesn't leave my hands as I rise my head on his direction, now that I realized he is a Man. I could feel his tall figure covering my body, but this isn't the time to appreciate things like this. I have a man in my bathroom while I am standing in a freaking bathrobe with my eyes burning because of the shampoo.
“I thought my friend was here. I..I didn't know it was someone else.” I say, but he doesn't respond, so I speak again. “You can leave, I don't need your help. Thank you.” I try to free my hands from his grip when he finally decided to allow me to hear him. How great of him.
“Let me…help you.” The voice—It's deep and perhaps I am nuts because did a voice just give me goosebumps all over my body? And most importantly, this voice… I am familiar with it, but no, no—he can't be him. Now I realize why his touch didn't make me uncomfortable.
“V-vihaan?” My words come out as a whisper as I gulped. The man doesn't speak anything, so I try to open my eyes and looked at him. His brown eyes met mine and I forgot to blink. “I’ll help you and go.” I shook my head, wiping the foam on my cheek with my shoulder as I say.
“No, you g–ouch.” I curse the moment Shampoo goes straight into my eyes. “I just hate this resort. Leave my hand, I’ll wipe my eyes—” My words were cut off when Vihaan suddenly pushed me, making my back hit the wall as he pinned my hands above my head with one of his hands.
