- Marley use to come from a rich family with her mom and dad, but they aren't anything but a family.

- All her parents did was work and they never pay any attention to her, even when she would ask them to spend time with her, they would say no and all they care about was work.

- Whenever her dad gets angry or upset, he would either degrade her and yell at her or even abuse her physically by giving her whip beatings or beat her up whenever she makes a mistake, even when it's a minor mistake.

- Her dad would call her a brat, annoying little twerp, a mistake, a disgrace and etc.

- And even if they don't have work, they still wouldn't spend time with her. Her dad would start drinking and her mom would go out shopping non-stop, but what made everything worst was the arguing. The constant arguing, it was like they never love each other (which they don't.) and all she wanted was a normal family.

- It kept going on for months, days and weeks until one night, Marley woke up and went to get some water since she was thirsty and she brings her teddy bear with her, but when she came downstairs, she saw her parents arguing again, and it's about her dad drinking which her mom told him to stop, but he said that it makes him feel better after her nagging and she spend all of his money, but she said that she spend her own money from her job, but he retorted back at her by saying that she lives in his house, therefore, it's HIS money. But her mom said "That is a bunch of house shit! You do not own me. I am a fucking b-" But she went to the kitchen and saw her dad slapping her mom by saying "Don't talk back to me!" She and her mom are in shock about this, and her mom said "You... You hit me?" and her dad said " That's right and I'll do it again" that is when Marley said "Mommy?" Daddy?" and her parents spotted her, her mom asked her on what she is doing out of bed and she told her that she is thirsty, but then her mom said that she should head back to bed and she'll give her a glass of water, but then she asked her mom about why did her dad slapped her until he interrupted her by saying "You better listen to your mother, ya brat" but her mom got angry and yelled at her husband for talking to their daughter like that, but he said that since when did she care about their daughter when all she cared about was shopping and asked her on how old she was, but she said that she was 3 but she said that she is 6, that is when her dad mocked her mom by saying that even he knew about her age and continues to make fun of her for it until she yelled the word stop it and told him to stop bullying her mom, until her dad got really angry and told her to stay out of it and throw an empty glass bottle at the counter and her mom tried to get her daughter away from the bottle, but it was too late.... It hit her in the eye which causes her to scream and cry really loudly and her parents were horrified at this and her mom took her to the hospital.

- This was the last straw for her mom as she got angry at her husband for what he did to their daughter and he tried to get her to calm down, but it didn't work as she blamed her husband for throwing a glass bottle at Marley and that's when she decided to call the police on her husband for child endangerment, domestic abuse and child abuse and she divorced him while they are at the hospital.

- The nurse told her mom that they manage to take care of the glass shards and thankfully that it wasn't too deep to hit her brain, but to the damages it did on her left eye, they have to give her stiches and remove the eye entirely and when she came into the emergency room, she threw up from the shock and they have to keep her in the hospital, just so that her eye can heal.

- A few days have passed ever since the glass incident and from mom visiting her at the hospital, she got out of the hospital and her mom apologize to her for neglecting her and not knowing that she was in pain while she was crying and sobbing, and she pleaded her to forgive her, which she did and they manage to spend time with each other and her mom quit her old job due her mother (Marley's grandmother) pressuring her about work and she only cared about their reputation instead of her own daughter and granddaughter thanks to her new wife giving her an advice about quitting her stressful job.

- Their lives got better and Marley manage to get therapy after she told her mom and step mom about how her ex-dad abused her before they got divorce and they were completely in shock about it when she told them about it, which made her mom hate her dad even more.

- And thanks to her dad's abuse and mistreatment towards her, she developed anger problems and became pessimistic about everything, and even after she went to therapy since her mom and her step mom knew that she was never going to be the same again.
