Namjoon stood frozen as Seokjin stepped further into the room, his presence as suffocating as ever. The tall, imposing figure of the trillionaire radiated power, every movement controlled and precise. His cold, calculating gaze locked onto Namjoon, and the smirk that tugged at the corner of his lips only made Namjoon's stomach churn.Seokjin made his way toward the center of the room, his eyes never leaving Namjoon. The silence was deafening, each second stretching painfully as Namjoon braced himself for whatever Seokjin had come to say.
"You look troubled," Seokjin finally spoke, his voice smooth, but there was no warmth behind it-only a chilling edge that sent a shiver down Namjoon's spine.
Namjoon swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his chest. "Why are you here?" he managed to ask, though his voice was barely more than a whisper.
Seokjin took his time, moving with deliberate slowness as he settled into one of the chairs in the room. He looked at Namjoon, his eyes scanning the boy's delicate features, the softness of his expression, the fear hidden behind those beautiful eyes.
"I'm here to make you an offer," Seokjin said, his voice as calm as ever. "One that I'm certain you'll find... tempting."
Namjoon's body tensed at the word. Tempting? Nothing Seokjin could offer would ever be tempting. Not when it came from a man who wielded his power like a weapon, using it to control and manipulate others.
Seokjin leaned back in the chair, watching Namjoon's reaction. "I've given it some thought," he continued, as if he hadn't noticed Namjoon's distress. "Your family is in a rather unfortunate situation. Struggling to make ends meet... barely holding onto this house. The poverty you face is cruel, isn't it?"
Namjoon's breath hitched. His parents had worked so hard, sacrificed so much to keep their lives together, but they were barely scraping by. Seokjin's words dug into wounds Namjoon had tried so hard to hide.
Seokjin leaned forward slightly, his cold eyes piercing. "But it doesn't have to be that way, Namjoon."
Namjoon blinked, confusion mingling with the fear. "What... what do you mean?"
Seokjin's smirk deepened. "If you agree to marry me, I will ensure that your parents are well taken care of. You'll never have to worry about poverty again. I'll buy them a new house, pay for everything they need. They will live in comfort for the rest of their lives."
Namjoon's stomach twisted. Marry him? He'd rather live in poverty a thousand times over than tie himself to a man like Seokjin.
He shook his head, stepping back slightly. "I can't... I won't-"
Seokjin stood up from the chair, his eyes narrowing slightly as he interrupted Namjoon. "Think carefully, Namjoon. If you refuse, your family will continue to suffer. Your home will fall apart, and there will be no one to save them. But with me... you can ensure their safety. Their happiness."
Namjoon felt tears sting at the back of his eyes. How dare Seokjin use his family like this? How dare he make Namjoon choose between his own freedom and the well-being of his parents?
Seokjin took a step closer to Namjoon, his voice lowering to a whisper. "Marry me, Namjoon, and I will take care of everything. Your parents will never have to work again. They will live in luxury, and you... you will be mine."
The weight of the offer crashed down on Namjoon like a tidal wave. He didn't know what to say, his mind spinning with the impossible decision laid out before him.
But before Namjoon could answer, the door to the room burst open, and in stepped Hoseok, his face filled with concern and panic.
"Namjoon!" Hoseok called, rushing toward him.
Namjoon's heart skipped a beat at the sight of Hoseok, and without thinking, he ran into his arms, burying his face into Hoseok's chest as tears spilled from his eyes.
Hoseok wrapped his arms around Namjoon tightly, holding him as if he could shield him from everything. "What's going on? What did he say to you?" Hoseok demanded, his voice filled with worry and anger as he glared at Seokjin.
Seokjin watched them with an amused smile, his eyes cold as ice. "Ah, Jung Hoseok, the loving boyfriend," Seokjin said mockingly, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "How touching."
Hoseok's grip on Namjoon tightened protectively, and he glared at Seokjin. "What do you want from him?" he snapped. "Haven't you done enough?"
Seokjin's smirk widened, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I want him to be mine," Seokjin replied smoothly, his gaze never leaving Namjoon. "I've made my offer. It's up to Namjoon to decide."
Hoseok's face darkened with fury, but before he could say anything, Namjoon pulled back slightly, his tear-streaked face turning toward Seokjin.
"Is that what you think?" Namjoon asked, his voice trembling with emotion. "That you can just... buy me? That you can force me into this?"
Seokjin raised an eyebrow. "I'm offering you a life of comfort. A life where your family will never have to suffer again. All I ask is for you to marry me, Namjoon. It's a simple choice."
Namjoon's chest heaved with the weight of his emotions. He knew what Seokjin was really asking. It wasn't just marriage-it was ownership. Seokjin wanted to possess him, control him, and Namjoon could feel the chains tightening around him with every word Seokjin spoke.
But when Namjoon glanced up at Hoseok, saw the love and concern in his eyes, he knew he couldn't do it. No matter how tempting the offer seemed, no matter how much his family needed help, he couldn't give himself over to Seokjin. Not when his heart already belonged to someone else.
"I won't marry you," Namjoon whispered, his voice breaking. "I... I love Hoseok."
Seokjin's smirk faded, and for the first time, his eyes darkened with something far more dangerous. The room seemed to grow colder as Seokjin took a step forward, his gaze locked onto Namjoon's tearful face.
"I see," Seokjin murmured, his voice low and threatening. "But don't think this is over, Namjoon. You will be mine, one way or another. I always get what I want."
With that, Seokjin turned on his heel and walked out of the room, leaving Namjoon trembling in Hoseok's arms. But even as the door closed behind him, Namjoon knew deep down that Seokjin's threat was far from empty.
The nightmare was just beginning.
