The day of Jeonghan and Yewon’s arranged marriage had finally arrived, and Jeonghan couldn’t stop himself from sulking. He stood at the altar, arms crossed and lips pressed into a pout, shooting a glare in Yewon’s direction whenever she glanced his way.
“Do you have to look so annoyed?” Yewon asked, her voice carrying the slightest hint of a smirk as she raised an eyebrow at him.
“Well, do you have to look so smug about it?” Jeonghan shot back, rolling his eyes as he tugged on the collar of his suit. “It’s like you’re enjoying this or something.”
“Maybe I am,” she replied smoothly, unbothered by his bratty tone. She stood tall and poised, completely unfazed by his attitude, her gaze steady as she watched him fidget and scowl. “I think it’s cute seeing you like this.”
Jeonghan’s pout deepened. “Cute?” he echoed, clearly offended. “I’m not cute, thank you very much. I’m just… being reasonable. I didn’t exactly agree to this whole thing, you know.”
Yewon tilted her head, crossing her arms in a way that made her look even more imposing. “Well, you’re here now. So maybe you did agree—at least a little.”
He scoffed, flicking his hair out of his eyes with a dramatic toss of his head. “I only agreed because I didn’t exactly have a choice.”
She smirked, unfazed. “Keep telling yourself that.”
Their back-and-forth banter was enough to keep the guests around them entertained, who whispered among themselves, some chuckling at Jeonghan’s dramatics and Yewon’s calm responses. It was clear to anyone watching that this wasn’t your typical wedding, and these two were anything but your typical couple.
When it came time to exchange vows, Jeonghan glanced away, muttering under his breath, “This is so ridiculous…”
Yewon leaned closer, her voice a low whisper only he could hear. “You could at least pretend to be happy. For the guests’ sake, if nothing else.”
Jeonghan shot her a sideways look, lips twitching in reluctant amusement. “Fine. For them.” But his tone was clearly laced with sarcasm.
Finally, as the rings were exchanged, Jeonghan slipped Yewon’s ring onto her finger with exaggerated care. “There. Now you’ve got me officially trapped,” he mumbled, trying to hide the tiny blush creeping up his cheeks.
Yewon chuckled softly, her voice surprisingly gentle as she replied, “I think it’s you who’s trapped me, actually.”
He blinked, caught off guard. For a second, he was at a loss for words, but he quickly masked it with a scoff. “We’ll see about that,” he muttered, but his voice lacked its usual edge.
As the officiant pronounced them married, Yewon looked at him with a steady gaze, her faint smile daring him to keep testing her limits. “You ready for this?” she asked.
Jeonghan gave her a sly grin, finally letting a bit of excitement slip through his pouty exterior. “I don’t think you’re ready for me.”
And as they walked down the aisle, hand in hand.

As the door to their honeymoon suite clicked shut behind them, the atmosphere shifted instantly. Jeonghan stood at the threshold, his heart racing as he took in the romantic setting—dim lights, soft music playing in the background, and the enticing scent of vanilla lingering in the air. He turned to Yewon, who was still standing by the door, her expression a mix of amusement and confidence.
“Welcome to our little love nest,” Yewon said, her tone teasing as she stepped closer, her presence commanding yet warm. “What do you think?”
“It’s... cozy,” Jeonghan replied, trying to sound nonchalant, but he could feel the tension coiling in the air. “Very romantic, I guess.”
