ೋ | After school, [Y/n]'s parents decided that it would be a good time to explore more of their new home. They wanted her to become familiar with the city, to start seeing it as a place filled with adventure and excitement rather than something unknown and intimidating. They had planned a little outing, hoping to create happy memories for their daughter in their new life in Japan.

As they stepped outside the car, [Y/n] held Basmah tightly to her chest while holding one of her mom's hand and her father on her other side, her eyes wide with curiosity.

The streets were bustling with a lot of people and everything seemed so different from her home in Arabia— colorful signs in Japanese characters, storefronts lined with unique toys and gadgets and the faint melodies of music playing from nearby shops. Even the air seemed different, carrying a mix of aromas that tickled her nose.

Their first stop was a nearby park. It was bigger than the one back home with tall cherry trees lining the paths, their leaves already having started to fall with the hues of autumn.

The park was filled with families, children running around and elders sitting on benches, enjoying the warmth of the sun for as long as it was still possible.

[Y/n]'s parents encouraged her to play on the playground and she eagerly climbed up the slide, sliding down with a joyous shriek. There was a swing set too close and she gave her teddy bear to her mom before [Y/n]'s father pushed her gently, letting her soar through the air as her laughter echoed across the park.

For a while, [Y/n] ran around, chasing pigeons and kicking at the fallen leaves. Her parents watched from a bench nearby, their faces soft with contentment.

They shared quiet words about how well she was adjusting and how proud they were of her for being brave. It was clear that the city's unfamiliarity was beginning to melt away, bit by bit, replaced by a sense of adventure.

After the park, they decided to explore the local street food stalls. The smells of various dishes filled the air— grilled meats, fried snacks, and sweet treats. They searched carefully for halal options, finding a vendor who offered fresh takoyaki made with shrimp and vegetables instead of the usual octopus.

[Y/n]'s eyes went wide as she watched the vendor skillfully turn the little round balls on a hot griddle, the steam rising and filling the air with a savory aroma.

Her father handed her a toothpick with a piping-hot takoyaki ball on it, warning her to blow on it first. [Y/n] carefully took a bite, her face lighting up with surprise at the chewy, warm filling. "It's good !" She exclaimed in delight and her parents smiled, glad to see her enjoying the new food as their daughter was usually quite picky but it seems like she was enjoying herself too much to care about being difficult.
