Author's POV
"We have already checked two bakeries, and I don't think we will be able to find that particular cake," Ibrahim said while driving to the next bakery that was shown on GPS.
"There is still time left for us and we can check the other bakeries," Inaya informed while putting two more addresses to the GPS. Abdul and Fatima both like black currant cake so it's a little hard for them to find it.
They both went to the first bakery but it did not have the cake. Now, they have only one bakery left to check, or else they have to buy any other flavour cake. They entered the bakery.
"Do you have a blue current flavour cake?" Inaya asked the person at the counter.
"We don’t have black currant cake right now, but we do have a range of other fruit-flavored cakes. Let me know if you'd like to see the options!" The staff answered her with a polite smile.
Inaya's smile drops hearing no again. She sighed and looked at Ibrahim, who was standing beside her and nodded her head no.
"If they don't have that flavour then let's order something else for them," Ibrahim suggested.
" But it's their favourite, and it would make them feel special." Inaya pouted not liking the idea of buying anything else.
"Sorry to hear your talks, but if you want black currant cake, then I know one place where you will definitely get the cake," the bakery staff informed, breaking their conversation.
Inaya's eyes shine brightly in hope and she looks at the guy with happiness. "please tell us where we can get it," Inaya requests with a happy smile.
" I will write you the address. Give me one minute, please," the staff entered the back side to grab a sticky note.
Ibrahim holds Inaya's hands to gain her attention. "Can we trust the guy?" He asked, sceptical to believe any random person.
Inaya glared at him in response. "Do you have any other ideas? If not, then shut up. He is not a roadside Gunda. If he gives any address, it will be of some bakery only," Inaya dismissed his thought carelessly.
The guys came with a green colour sticky note and handed it to Inaya. " This is also a bakery; my friend works there. I have written the bakery number too. You can call there if you want to before going there," the staff suggested.
" They have a wide range of black currant cakes. That's their speciality, so you will definitely get it there," he further added.
Inaya thanked him and they came out of the bakery. They both sat in the car and installed the address to the GPS and it showed a 2-hour distance from there. Ibrahim groaned seeing the distance.
Ibrahim took the note from her hand and dialled the number that was written there.
"Hello, Thank you for calling sweet crumbs. How can I help you today?" The person asked from the other side.
Ibrahim looked at Inaya who was looking at him with knitted eyebrows. " Do you have black currant cake available today?" Ibrahim asked making Inaya smile.
He talked to the person and told him to put aside one cake, and they would go there to pick it up.
"Yes, let's go and get the cake," Inaya said and fastened the seat belt. They reached the bakery in two hours and took the cake. Ibrahim made the payments, and they came out of the shop. Inaya carefully places the bag in the back seat and takes a seat in the front.
"Don't drive harshly. I don't want you to spoil the cake," Inaya said and sat comfortably in her seat.
Ibrahim looked at her with raised eyebrows, "When did I drive so harshly that you needed to warn me? I drive here this far just to get the cake, so obviously, I don't want to harm the cake." Ibrahim grumbled and started the car.
