"Wacha doing?"

"Huh, oh uhhh, nothing,"I blurted out, trying not to look suspicious(which failed).

He narrowed his eyes at me, making me tense up,

(Sighs)"soren, promise me if I tell you, you'll keep it a secret"

"I promise,"he said with a reassuring smile,

I smile back, still edgy, but i choose to ignore it,

"Alright, soren, how much do you know about human proposals?"

His eyes go wide,"Wait,"

"Did callum propose to you!"He screeched in a higher pitch, I thought wasn't possible for him,

"Shhhhh," I hissed, hoping to god no one heard,

"No ya dingdong, I'm go'in ta propose to him."

After a second of silence, he burst out laughing,

"R-rayla, you don't know anything about human proposals, do you?"

My cheeks were probably as red as a chili,

"No, I don't."

Later......

I took his hand in mine and leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked towards a clearing ahead,

Just as ⁸we got there, he let go to set out a blanket, with varieties of foods and sweets in the middle,

Once he gave a satisfied grin, he sat down and patted the spot beside him,

After finding a comfortable position, we both began talking and sharing food,

"So, how was yer day"

He frowned, looking down at our intertwined hands,

"Not so good, you?"

I think a second about the question, it can't give anything away,

"Just had to deal with the village idiot," I say plainly,

"Sorens not the village idiot,"

Of course, he knew who I was talking about,

I roll my eyes,

"I know, I know,"

He looks at me in surprise as I shove a xadian fruit in his mouth before he can lecture me,

After a minute of silence, we both broke out laughing, and for the rest of the evening, we just enjoyed each other's company,

"It's get'in dark,"I say more as a question than a statement,

"Yep, we should probably get going soon,"He sighs,

"Just one more thing, though,"

He grabs his bag and starts rummaging through it,

"Wacha got planned, Mr mage," I joke, actually thinking about the big surprise I have myself,

All I get is a chuckle. Before I could say anything else, he turned around with a box,

I smile, not knowing what's happening until he opens it to reveal a pair of silver cuffs,

My eyes go wide,

"C-callum i-

"Rayla, you're the love of my life. You are my strength, my hope, and my courage."

"Will you marry me?"

My heart was filled with joy, I could barely breathe,

"Uhh, rayla?,

"OK, you're freaking me out here. Are y-

"YES!," I ram into him without a second thought, knocking us both to the ground,

"Oh, callum, here, I take out a gold ring with blue lining and hand it to him,

He looks up at me with amazement before kissing me, "I love you rayla"
